“This was the statement she made when announcing the charges to the media. Essentially, an oral citation of the probable cause Mosby used to file her ‘take-my-word-for-it’ Direct Action charges. However, it looks like she was, well, stretching the truth again.”

It was to get their lies out quick like they did in the Ferguson and Zimmermann case.

The really sad part is that people will now for years just repeat this lie like hands up don’t shoot.
The most pathetic part is that there are a couple of people on here who hate cops so much who use terms like boot licker and from their posting history is all they ever talk about were repeating these lies and will do so all the while trying to pretend to be a conservative when in fact they are nothing more than occupy, WTO left wing scum

He probably had a pocket folder about like I carry every day. Shouldn’t be illegal. 2A.

I saw how cops interpret spring assisted and it is BS.We all know cops will arrest people on bogus charges, a form of harassment, just to later have them dropped by the prosecutor. Now I know this guy had a rap sheet and was a drug dealer to boot, but that fact should be immaterial into how he was treated.

Spring assisted, switchblades , and gravity knives are not the same. The issue of which one-handed opening thumb stud knives are legal is somewhat complicated and dependent on the interpretation of state law. Whether Gray’s knife was illegal remains to be determined.

I have a pocket knife with a spring in it - to keep it closed.
To fold out the knife blade I have to overcome the force of the spring. It takes two hands.
Could a cop still call that "spring assisted"?

He had a knife so he it’s ok to snap his neck on the ride to jail. Got it.

She is going to thoroughly eff this up, and these cops are gonna walk.

Then we are gonna see some REAL rioting take place all over the country.

Unless that’s part of the plan.

The guy ran long before the cops could have seen he had a knife. Wouldn’t their probable cause for pursuit be because a known drug felon fled when he saw a cop? I think the probably cause threshold is pretty low.

I’m not sure how Mosby conflated the knife and probable cause. Her position is kind of like saying “the driver didn’t blow a .08 so the arrest was bad and the officer should be prosecuted. If probable cause is disproven, the charges are dismissed or more likely the arrest isn’t made. In her zeal, she may have let them off the hook.

I don’t like laws which infringe rights but unlike Obama and the Clintons I am not allowed to disregard them.

Twits on Twitter, consider:

The second amendment say that the knife is NOT illegal.
