Russia's Communist leader Gennady Zyuganov has appealed to the Culture Ministry to establish a "full-fledged" museum honoring Soviet dictator Josef Stalin

So will the museum have exhibits showing how Stalin systematically starved millions of Ukrainians?

Will it have exhibits showing how Stalin sent millions to starve in work camps, how hundreds of thousands were taken from their homes never to returns because someone denounced them as counter revolutionaries?

Will the museum tell how Stalin’s prewar purges, designed to eliminate any possible rival to Stalin, robbed the Russian Army of its officer corps of its leadership just in time for the German invasion?

How does one properly HONOR a mass murdering sociopath?

“The demise of the Soviet Union was the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century,” Putin said in 2005.

"'The Black Book of Communism,'; a scholarly accounting of communism’s crimes, counts about 94 million murdered by the supposed champions of the common man (20 million for the Soviets alone), and some say that number is too low."

Stalin was a great man. A greatly evil man. As were his competitors in the dictator races of the 20th.

He accomplished great things, at immense and unnecessary cost in human suffering. As, again, did others.

I have no problem with a museum about his life and times, as long as it present a balanced picture of his accomplishments and his crimes.

Which of course it wouldn’t. Any such museum would focus on lauding achievements and covering up or excusing the crimes.

I hope they add a wing that details the actions of all of the Soviet agents and traitors in the Roosevelt Administration who aided the actions of the USSR.

The rewriting of history in Russia continues, Stalin’s genocide of millions of Russians was good for Russia just ask these brain dead Russians. More and more Putin and Stalin are being compared and more and more Russians think that is a good thing. They are getting what they want, how many millions will die this time.
