Pretty soon the other states will wise up and not let the stupid voters from Maryland (the libs not you conservatives) resettle in them to afflict their hypocritical liberal logic on them.

As a native Western Marylander, there is a big 'DUH!' factor here. We don't call it 'Almost Maryland' for nothing. As far as Annapolis is concerned, the state stops at the Frederick County line and everyone to the west are back-country sheep waiting to be fleeced.

Reminds me of the liberals I’ve talked with over the years that fume over people leaving metropolitan areas...”they’re leaving and depleting tax revenue”...”they shouldn’t be allowed to pick up and leave on their own whim”...”they commute too much” for example...the first one, well yes, it does deplete revenue, but they blame the symptom and not the cause...they second one, they must think we need travel papers (from an overseer no doubt)...the third one, an attack on freedom.
They just cannot admit they’re wrong...just double down and expect different results from same old tired approaches...insanity indeed.

I notice the story didn’t break the poll down between blacks and whites, liberal and conservative, etc.

It should be illegal for liberals to leave the hellholes they create.

Don't come to Oregon.
You won't like it here.
Really, it rains ALL the time.
Stay there.

I wish they would stay and leave Virginia alone. Northern VA has been so polluted by transplants in search of lower taxes and lower cost of living that it’s become more expensive and more regulated with an equally high cost of living.

We Upper Bay and Eastern Shore people are also persona non grata as far as Annapolis is concerned. Except for the tax revenue we bring.

“Freak State”, no doubt a variation on the official state moniker, “the Free State.”
I prefer “The Fee State,” though both seem apt.

I lived in Hawaii for over 2 years. The climate is to die for; the scenery second to none. BUT, it is
crowded. Cost of living and taxes are a burden; not a business friendly environment for sure. Then there is the racism against whites, the corruption in one party rule and don't give-a-$hit attitude of the locals.
Loving the wide open spaces of south Florida.

BUT, it is crowded. Cost of living and taxes are a burden; not a business friendly environment for sure. Then there is the racism against whites I knew an Air Force Colonel and his wife who were so excited to be assigned to Hawaii. Their children were grown or in college, so it was just the two of them.
They paid an exorbitant sum of money for a house that turned out to be poorly built and gave them tens of thousands of dollars in maintenance costs the first year. The local government was corrupt, as you say, and native Hawaiians treated them with contempt.
They loved many aspects of living there, but after 15 months his wife had had enough.
She moved back to the States, and told her husband that when his tour was up he was to join her then. He firmly agreed with the decision.
They had big plans to eventually retire there, but scuttled them all. They said that as big as the island was, after a few months they felt "trapped" and wanted to "get off."
