A senior Baltimore law enforcement official said the mayor told police officials,
Let them loot. Its only property.

Why would that distress him?
She’ll probably be mystified if Baltimore steadily becomes a ghost town with no residents and no businesses like Detroit. She will have no clue why it is happening.
For those who do not have the benefit of having CNN in their break room, there are blocks of protesters in Baltimore, at least a thousand strong, chanting and caring signs.
The governor had a press conference reminding everyone that there is a curfew tonight. The CNN reporter said that these seemed to be mostly college aged kids and they could march all night.
Well I confess that I'm a slob, and I'm a conservative.

The guy kept asking the same question with slight tweaks. You should call and ask him.
Some of the owners of businesses “destroyed” by permission of the Baltimore Mayor will be able to recover through insurance coverage, but some owners may not have insurance or not complete coverage.
Media Advisory: Information Available On Insurance Coverage for Baltimore Businesses, Property Owners Affected By Riots
I.I.I. Experts Available For Media Interviews; Civil Commotion, Vandalism Losses Are Covered Under Most Auto, Property Policies

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEW YORK, April 28, 2015 Auto, homeowners, and business insurance policies generally include coverage for property losses caused by riots and civil commotions, such as those occurring this week in Baltimore, according to the Insurance Information Institute (I.I.I.).
The optional comprehensive coverage on an auto insurance policy reimburses losses to a vehicle due to damage caused by falling objects, fire, riots and vandalism, among other things.
Homeowners policies pay to repair, or rebuild, an insured home if its structure is damaged or destroyed as the result of a riot or civil commotion, as well as to replace the homeowners personal belongings if they are damaged or stolen during the event.
If the home is rendered uninhabitable by the damage caused by a riot or civil commotion, policyholders can file an additional living expenses (ALE) claim to finance their temporary housing expenses until their residence has been repaired.
Standard business property insurance policies provide coverage for the structure of the building as well as the contents inside, and cover losses arising from riots or civil commotion. Business interruption (BI) coverage, whereby the policyholder can file a claim for lost income, is usually only triggered when the insured business incurs direct physical damage.
If those bums started burning down her office she would be singing a different tune. Politicians are quite protective of their buildings, parks, monuments and public places. Individual liberals - not so much.
Speaking of the stolen drugs; what are the odds that some “parent” will sue CVS when here sweet chile ODs on the drugs he stole? Parading the corpse for profit is a traditional pastime for muslims and democrats.
I’d have only two questions for this sorry excuse of a mayor:
1. Blindfold?
2. Cigarette?
Call me a prejudiced Son of a ‘Bama but I have little use or respect for female mayors and (with a very, very, few exceptions) little use or respect for people with hyphenated last names. Male or female.
Her reasoning may very well have been that stopping the looting & vandalism would require violence, better to tolerate property damage than risk bodily harm. This fits certain Leftist axioms, failing to acknowledge the reality that whatever crime is tolerated will escalate until no longer tolerated, and that such crimes are bodily harm by proxy insofar as one’s limited time & effort is wasted/stolen/destroyed.
Understanding the opposition is vital to winning over them.
Note to Baltimosul looters and arsonists, head to the Mayor’s home, she has some nice things you’ve been invited to take, ‘cause it’s only property.
Plus that’ll show whitey for building something he didn’t build.
There. Fixed it.
