National Guard arrives in Baltimore as police commissioner admits rioters (Short Title)

National Guard troops arrived in Baltimore shortly after midnight Tuesday, almost nine hours after a confrontation between black youths and police at a city mall mushroomed into riots during which several businesses were looted and burned and over a dozen officers injured.

We’ve got 4 sheriff’s deputies assigned to our township and I’ve made sure to introduce myself to all of them. I encourage them to spend a little time at the post office every so often because they’ll get to know everybody in our tiny town that way.

The police aren’t designed to be that kind of warrior - the National Guard should be the arbiters of cleaning up the mess. If we want the police to be able to handle this type mass uprising in a city, we must also be good with militarizing the police - I’m against giving them that kind of power and leeway.

I think the police are trying to back away and make way for the National Guard to come in to “put to an end” the riot.

The situation on the ground is complicated.

The black mayor of Baltimore does not want to crack down on black rioters.

The police know they would be thrown to the wolves if they actually fired upon the rioters, even in self defense.

The Republican governor knows he will be called a racist and indicted by Obama's DoJ if the National Guard opens fire on rioters.

And the rioters know all this.

During the press conference with the governor and the national guard lady around 8pm last night.....was I imagining things when she said the national guard was going to ‘fall back for the night and get some rest’??? Unreal...

out side agitators is a self serving myth spewed from the propaganda orifices of the black ruling subculture. the feral black Baltimore subculture is on display but will never be mentioned as a cause.

Baltimore is and has been for a long time an urban sewer

Loretta Lynch was put in office to protect the ruling black subculture from harm resulting from the riots in Baltimore and those coming elsewhere

What we have is a complete breakdown of the black “leadership” in Baltimore and a limp-wristed governor who also failed to take charge. I mean the idea that he “had to wait” for that worthless Black Mayor to “request” the National Guard. If there was ever a case for martial law, this is it.

Reminds me of New Orleans with Katrina bearing down. President Bush didn't call out the National Guard, awaiting request by the Mayor and then Governor, which never came in time to evacuate/secure the area.
