BALTIMORE, Maryland — Racial protests supposed to be peaceful quickly turned into violent riots on Saturday evening, closing down the city of Baltimore for some time—and creating a panic for thousands of people as just 50 miles away elites in Washington partied with President Barack Obama at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
Personally, I wasn’t supposed to be on the job tonight as a reporter. After a long news week and as several of my contemporaries lived high on the hog down in D.C. at the so-called “Nerd Prom,” me and my brother left D.C. to go see our Boston Red Sox play the Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards I hate the White House Correspondents’ Dinner—it represents everything I think is wrong with Washington, making celebrities out of news media and politicians—and given the fact I grew up just outside Boston I figured seeing the Red Sox play in Baltimore would be a great reprieve from the political culture. Boy was I wrong.

Don’t get too concerned. I watched CBS News last night, and they assured us that it was only a few troublemakers. Like those Nazis...it was only a few of them broke windows on Krystallnacht. (snicker)

These are riots gone bad. The original intent of the rioting was to hold up a few protest signs and hug the police. (snicker)
I’ve been thinking the same thing for some time now. Only instead of caves in the desert, our new rulers that will rise from the ashes sit safely ensconced inside the well-reinforced government machinery.

How dumb can these folks be? If it were "black JOBS matter" a lot more black lives would be saved. The city has become rather pleasant for tourists. The new casino is probably within the riot zone; nothing like making it unapproachable. If cruise ships use that port, that's a whole lot of revenue for the city and jobs. Discourage tourists and people from outside the city going to sports events and that's a lot more idle young people to keep rioting through the summer.
Is this the first time out of control riots have affected a major sports event?
Blacks acting badly, move along. How many “black lives matter” were murderered by thier own black thuggery? It only matters when a whte cop is involved. The crowds do not want the police to protect them from thier own kind because they are thier own kind they want to continue with thier drug and murder businesses unimpeded

Don’t know but most cities make sure they don’t when doing the PC thing directly conflicts with their money the green will get the nod every time, press be dammed.
Last night’s attendance at the game was their normal season’s average. Today’s game will tell. Game starts at 1:35 PM. Don’t know if the afternoon start will help but if I lived there I would think twice if I really needed to go that area or game until things settle down.
WE do if they come to my house to burn it down or attack me or mine..., but I understand and agree with your question.
IDF uses a suppressed 10-22 Ruger to kneecap or snap a elbow or more on rock chucking rioters. No noise, no clue and no spokesman, just a little 40 grain souvenir of the event and a life time of limping and learning to throw rocks with your other hand.
Bring back stomp and drag and take the sheaths off the bayonets again. Water cannons and sting ball grenades etc etc ..
We’re I chief cook and bottle washer of this chickenshit administration I would deploy 3000 pissed off marines with 36 inch riot batons and counter sniper over watch teams and end that feral youth BS .

USA: Ruptly TV producer robbed at Baltimore protest
A Ruptly producer had their handbag stolen live on camera, after being surrounded by a group of youths, as they filmed a protest over the death of Freddie Gray in Baltimore, Saturday. The producer gave chase to the suspected thief before police intervened.

So the King is having a taxpayer funded Royal Ball while 50 miles away the people are rioting in the streets. Give this guy another Nobel Peace prize!
It is no different than any other big city.
I moved out of one last year and now living in the rural country, where people respect each other and rioting will not be tolerated.
It may be because everyone knows how to shoot a gun and own at least one.
