Excerpted from The Hollywood Reporter: When he was honored at an event at CinemaCon Wednesday, Clint Eastwood shared thoughts on his acting career, his interest in directing and one of his most vocal critics: Michael Moore.
The American Sniper helmer, who spoke to The Hollywood Reporters Stephen Galloway at the annual convention, told the crowd that he had been asked many times about Moores comments against his war drama.
Everyone is saying I threatened to kill Michael Moore thats not true but it isnt a bad idea, he joked, getting a big laugh from the crowd.
Once years ago somebody asked me what I would do if a guy like [Moore] came to my house and started filming like they did with Charlton Heston and I thought, well if hes on your property, I guess you can shoot him, he said.
The director, who has never met Moore, added: Any way you look at it, its his opinion. Thats whats great about this country You can think about it any way you want. Keep reading

Love this man!
Maybe Moore will eat enough and explode. Create a hazard zone where it happens.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXH_12QWWg8
Reminds me of the time Ed Koch, when he was NYC Mayor was embroiled in a minor controversy where he supposedly called Fmr Cong. Bella Abzug a savage. He was asked about that in his Playboy interview, to which he responded, “I don’t remember calling her a savage, but if I did I wouldn’t deny it”.
Whales are a protected species, so probably not a good idea...

A Michael Moore figure in one of Tom Kratman’s books enjoyed the sort of fate that brought a smile to my face.
I always think of Admiral King who when he had the quote attributed to him claimed to have never said “When the going gets tough, they call for the sons of bitches” but wished he had.

Oh my gosh that’s funny!
If Clint Eastwood ever carries out his threat, he’ll first need a harpoon gun, then a flensing knife and a steam cauldron.
I love this guy. He’s a national treasure, up there with the likes of the Duke, and the Gipper.
Go Ahead
Honestly, even the jaded teens here glom on to the scene where he’s, will where Harry Calaghan, is eating a hotdog for his fifteen minute lunch and is so annoyed by the bank robbery he’s had to ask lunch counter help with.
Then I show them the scene where he say’s ‘Personnel is for...’
Theyre in. but then we show the one with the diner waitress loading the coffee with too much sugar and they’re sold.
