Charles G. and David H. Koch, the influential and big-spending conservative donors, have a favorite in the race for the Republican nomination: Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin.
On Monday, at a fund-raising event in Manhattan for the New York State Republican Party, David Koch told donors that he and his brother, who oversee one of the biggest private political organizations in the country, believed that Mr. Walker was the Republican Partys best hope for recapturing the White House.
We will support whoever the candidate is, said Mr. Koch, according to two people who attended the event. But it should be Scott Walker.
The remark made before dozens of top New York donors who had gathered to hear Mr. Walker speak at the Union League Club could effectively end one of the most closely watched contests in the invisible primary, a period where candidates crisscross the country seeking not the support of voters but the blessing of their partys biggest donors and fund-raisers.
Most of the leading Republican candidates have aggressively courted the Kochs, who control a network of political nonprofits, super PACs and hundreds of like-minded donors, all of which are planning to spend almost $900 million over the next two years advancing conservative candidates and policies.
But while the Kochs are influential among their peers, it is unclear whether they will favor Mr. Walker with more than good will.

I pray that we as conservatives get our act together this time and don’t have the infighting which has divided us and lead to a RINO candidate for at least two elections. I must say, having Cruz in the mix is making it easy, and having what we have as his opponents helps too. There’s more clarity as to just who is the one and only true-blue candidate this time.
I had given Walker some thought, but the latest thing I read about him, at a private GOP dinner a couple of weeks ago, going back to his original wishy-washy stance on illegal immigration, has put me off. It sounds like he’s saying one thing to us, and another to the “in-group”.
Yes. And they’re certainly not social conservatives, if they were any kind of conservative.
Check out the Red State article “Twelve Reasons Not to Vote for Scott Walker”.. I researched all twelve. Trust your vibes.
Ding ding ding...we have a winner!
His stance on amnesty, for one.
Thanks for the link.
Interesting reading.
Not only that, now the rats can run ads showing the eeeevil Koch brothers polluting the earth and ruining all things with their tainted money.
When they start doing that, they will make me want to vote for him.......
Neither will deport. Both want to expand legal immigration.
RedState wants you to vote for Rubio.
Nope, no bias there.......
“Milwaukee District Attorney John Chisholm should be able to round up conservatives nation-wide in early morning raids, and ship them to the camps.”
I’m truly amazed no one has launched a major lawsuit against that POS. He actually has the power to wantonly destroy the lives of political opponents without impunity, it sounds to me.
Prepare to be ignored.
I don't trust Walker. He has no DC voting record, and seems to be more of a cheap labor, Chamber of Commerce kind of guy.
Walker is not GOPe, but if they cannot get Jeb or Rubio, they’ll compromise on Walker. Walker’s very smart and you have to bring the party together to win.
If Governor Walker is smart, he will accept donations from all sources, including the Koch brothers. NEVER KICK A GIFT HORSE IN THE MOUTH.
Cruz is not conservative on immigration issues. He wants to expand H-1B visa’s five fold. And he will NOT deport majority of illegals.
Several Republican candidates were also thought to be aggressively pursuing the Kochs’ support. Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Kentucky), Marco Rubio (R-Florida), and Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) all joined Walker at a Koch donor confab in January.

I don't say the Koch's aren't legal donors. I'm just pointing out that they aren't conservative, and indeed, they frequently aren't even libertarians...
Do you want Cruz to say no, And have another eight years of Obama?
I could care less at this point where the money comes from so long as
DC gets cleaned up, and people are indicted for their illegal actions.
