President Obama’s White House Task Force on Creating Welcoming Communities unveiled its recommendations Friday for a national strategy to “integrate” millions of immigrants and refugees into cities and towns across the U.S.
The chair of the task force, Obama’s domestic policy adviser Cecilia Muñoz, said her focus is on making sure Obama’s historic immigration policies get “institutionalized” so they will live on long after she and her boss are gone from the White House.
Obama created the task force Nov. 21 when he announced his plan to unilaterally grant amnesty to more than 5 million illegal immigrants and child migrants. His administration is also bringing in 70,000 foreign refugees per year from places like Iraq, Somalia, Bhutan, Burma and Syria.
Friday’s conference was titled “The New National Integration Plan: Making the Most of a Historic Opportunity.”
Muñoz, the former executive with the National Council of La Raza, said it was her job “to make sure we build this really into the DNA across the federal bureaucracy, at a leadership level, but much more importantly to make sure that when political appointees like me are no longer here this (immigration strategy) is built into what those agencies do and think about every day.”
Muñoz said it was important for the federal government to standardize, set benchmarks and “measure successes,” ensuring states and localities create the desired “welcoming communities.”
Eva Millona, co-chair of National Partnership for New Americans, a coalition of 34 organizations involved in everything from protecting immigrant rights to providing social services, also said a strong national role is needed to facilitate integration.

When I moved to SoCal it was just American suburbia. Nothing special, not picturesque, kinda normal and boring. But slowly the 3rd world began to seep in bringing its values. And then formerly normal neighborhoods started sprouting graffiti, not unlike what you see on these paragons of humanity.
And entire cities seemed to change almost overnight. White flight in the face of massive illegal immigration does that. For some reason Americans still want to speak English (other than Jeb Bush), they don't want giant black graffiti scrawled on their houses, they don't want bars on their windows- but our recent imports do. And the GOP as well as the Democrats are serving them, and not you.

If their country won’t support them here then why should we.
Also many of the countries to the south are brutal if illegals come through their country.
This situation needs to be ended, send all we can back and secure e border.
Put the army on the border.
Illegal invaders are not immigrants and “undocumented immigrants” is a contradiction in terms. We have a maniac in the White House.
Friend in small town Indiana woke up one morning to find a “community” of illegals moved in overnight. Anyone else out there experiencing this?
