Country music star Tim McGraw has found himself in the middle of the nations ongoing debate over gun control after agreeing to perform at a benefit concert for the Sandy Hook Promise foundation.

Just for THAT, his ownership of guns should be public record
Those bastards!
Boy, there sure are a lot of stories in the news about gun control. Something’s up.
“Firearm safety” are the new code words for gun control.
He’s got that Brokeback look, when does he come-out?
Not sure I understand what the problem is with his statement
Safety is the number one responsibility of gun ownership.
Further, that’s not even a middle of the road statement and takes into account the emotions of a staff member who lost his kid in that veil and heinous act.
oh man the facebook/twitter tards are up in arms
There is a LOT of evidence that Sandy Hook was theater. Sandy Hook Elementary itself hadn't been used for years.
Newtown is Spook Central. Everybody there works for the CIA, NSA, FBI, you name it.
Nothing about Sandy Hook ads up, other than Obola needed a tragedy like Dunblane to shove gun control through.
He wears that stupid plastic looking straw cowboy hat.
He should wear a real one.

The problem is that 100% of the proceeds from his concert go to an organization that says a bunch of BS about mental health and gun safety but actually pushes “assault rifle” bans, gun registration and whatever else the civilian disarmament “common sense” attack on my basic rights is today.
Despite their claims that their only goal is to improve access to mental health services and to promote firearms safety, this group is just as anti-gun as any other anti-gun group:
The group delivered petitions to New Jersey Governor Chris Cristie, urging him to sign legislation limiting magazines to 10 rounds in the Garden State
SHP supported the draconian new gun laws in Connecticut
Their communications director appeared in an ad for anti-gun Connecticut Gov. Dan Malloy
They were honored by the anti-gun New Yorkers Against Gun Violence
There web-site contains many links to other sources, but despite their claim of being interested in firearms safety, there is NO mention of, or links to, hunter safety courses, firearms training courses or firearms safety programs (such as the NRA’s “Eddie Eagle” class for children).
A relatively short internet search will reveal their real motives to you.
He can expect a chilly response back in Nashville. This is God and Guns Country!
I found this interesting:

The problem is, the group for whom he is doing the benefit is not even a little bit sincere about promoting firearms safety.
Ask Faith. I’m sure his wife and three daughters would like to know. Weird thing for you to say.

I don’t know what to think of it.
You know who else is in Newtown, CT? The National Shooting Sports Foundation.
