On July 17, country singers Tim McGraw and Billy Currington will headline a fundraiser for gun control group Sandy Hook Promise in Connecticut.
Sandy Hook Promise was founded after Adam Lanza stole various firearms then carried out a heinous attack on Sandy Hook Elementary.
NBC Connecticut quoted McGraw as saying:
Out of this tragedy a group was formed that made a promise to honor the lives lost and turn it into a moment of transformation. Sandy Hook Promise teaches that we can do something to protect our children from gun violence. I want to be a part of that promise as a father and as a friend.
McGraws A Concert For Sandy Hook Promise will also feature country singers Billy Currington and Chase Bryant.
On December 15, Breitbart News reported that Sandy Hook Promise is a vehicle through which various relatives of Sandy Hook victims have joined to push gun control until it passes. Newtown father Mark Bearden joined the group pledging to dedicate the rest of his life to pursuing gun control.
It should be noted that there was 100 percent gun control at Sandy Hook Elementary on December 14, 2012. No guns were allowed, period. You cant have more gun than that. Moreover, there were laws against stealing guns and possessing stolen guns as well. But none of these laws stopped or even dissuaded Adam Lanza.

Soon to be Car Wash Attendants.
Tim McGone.
Find out how many gun grabbing weenies purchase
his music.
That would seem logical, but it has occurred to me that they may be donating their funds too. It’s worth looking into.
What is this guy’s take on gun control? It appears he’s all in.
Finally, a gun control law I can support. Also, include a option to add their phone number in a 911 database so of if they call for police assistance the officers will be know they oppose the presence of firearms in society and the officers will not use any to defend them.
In the future, I believe they will be referred to as “Former Country Stars”... if they are referred to at all.
Even in CT, the local country station received mostly negative posts on their FB page when they announced their support of this concert.
This Billy Currington chap copped to felony counts of terrorist threats, is on probation, and is prohibited from owning a firearm.
Not that I care very much about modern pop-country yodelin' yokel music, but this Billy Currington character is apparently some piece of work, according to his Wikipedia profile:
"... On April 24, 2013, the Chatham County, Georgia Grand Jury indicted Currington on felony criminal charges of "abuse of an elder person by inflicting mental anguish" and "making terroristic threats". Both criminal charges stem from an incident involving boat captain Charles Harvey Ferrelle on April 15, 2013.[12] The indictment alleges Currington made terrorist threats to Ferrelle. Currington was later released from a Georgia jail after posting $27,700 bond. If convicted, Currington faced a prison term of 1 to 5 years. Also, on April 26, 2013, as a result of negative press surrounding the indictment incident, the Charlotte Motor Speedway replaced Currington as a performer for its All Star pre-race entertainment.[13] Currington entered a "not guilty" plea in August 2013.[14] On September 25, 2013, Currington pleaded no contest to the abuse charge; the terroristic threats charge was dropped. Currington was sentenced to 5 years' probation, a $1000 fine, and anger management counseling; he is also required to have no contact with the boat captain."

Plead 'No Contest' to the terrorist threat case (via Fox News):
Billy Currington pleads no contest in threats case
I do believe that some agent of his trying to resurrect and salvage his flagging music career thought it would be a brilliant idea if Billy Currington were to go to New England and yodel about gun control as part of his violent terrorist threat probation and court-ordered anger management counseling.
Tim McGraw and his country cowards friends can kiss my American a$$.
Quick Draw is deeply saddened and Baba Looey is speechless!
Oh,oh Tim must really be in the process of divorcing Faith. The gun control ploy is the age old way of an old man getting into a college coed’s pants.
I was just gonna say no wonder Faith is leaving his pansy ass.
I’d love to see a public opinion survey of the station’s listeners crosstabbed with CT gun owners who refused to comply with the new registration requirements.
Except for the fact that the gun owners wouldn’t, you know, admit to doing that ...
Tim is the bastard son of Tug McGraw.
Tim is in the closet. Faith is just part of the act.
