Surveillance video released on Monday shows a group of high school students beating a man at a Tennessee gas station.
Police said a large group of Northwest Prep Academy students swarmed a BP gas station outside Memphis.
“As we got to the car they are in the parking lot throwing up gang signs and putting up a ruckus,” Orrden Williams, Jr. said.
Williams told WREG one of the kids “sucker punched” him. After he was attacked, dozens of teenagers swarmed the gas station. Workers held the door shut as the children rushed the entryway.
Williams ran to his car where one teen threw punches just inches away from his baby’s head. He said he considered using a gun to defend his family.
“It would have been a couple of ‘mommas’ whose child wouldn’t have come home — justifiably not coming home,” Williams said.

The word “prep” seems deceptive to me. That particular “prep” school is a public “alternative” school. I’m from Memphis, but they have recently merged city and county schools, so I no longer know much about them. However, I believe that particular school is for troubled inner-city kids who were disciplinary problems or habitual truants in their regular out-of-control government schools.
I am glad that video exists and I can’t wait to show it to my teenage daughters. It is a perfect illustration of why I have told them to never stop for gas in Memphis (we now live just south in Mississippi). In fact, they have been told to never even drive through 75% of the city.
The man that got beat on was black...but he helped a scared old white woman to her car. There goes the lefty narrative!

Yeah and proof that no matter what color or your personal culture you have no one is safe from the ghetto underclass culture, it is the worst culture ever created in the US.
The newsreader calls them “children.” In a savage premodern culture anyone over the age of 14 or 15 is an adult. These are not children. They are “teens” in the modern PC parlance.
it was a Black man that got beat. He apparently came to the aid of a White Woman that was being harassed. He tried to get into the store for safety. The store clerk held the doors closed to prevent him from entering. If he will get a lawyer, his working days will be over. In fact, he probably own the store if he wants it.
You will not hear anything from them because it does not fit the narrative they are trying to sell which is all folks of a certain skin color are victims which is not true even in this case where a black man who was helping a woman was set upon by teens of a similar background, he should have shot those creatures for all I care.

Yes, the local teens are suspect. White boys and Asians are not included in that category, nor usually are Latinos. “Teens” has a very specific connotation now, rapidly becoming a denotation.
I agree with you. That’s a point we must remember. It’s simplistic and unfair to lump them all together. I know MANY Memphis blacks who are ashamed by what is happening in the black community.
