Thomas Friedman: Obama Can See America From Iran's Perspective
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 04/13/2015 6:01:42 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

We get that Barack Obama can view American from Iran's perspective. What we're worried about is whether he can view Iran from American's perspective . . . Ronald Reagan: "My idea of American policy toward the Soviet Union is simple, and some would say simplistic. It is this: we win and they lose." Thomas Friedman on Barack Obama: "He actually knows what America looks like from the outside in. And he can actually see America even to some point from the Iranian perspective."

So who will history record as being more effective in countering America's adversaries? The "simplistic" Ronald Reagan, or that cosmopolitan sophisticate, Barack Obama? Appearing on today's Morning Joe, Friedman apparently thought he was praising Obama, but Joe Scarborough wasn't so sure, asking "is it an admirable quality for us to have a president who can look at the world through the eyes of a regime that you and I both know has been the epicenter of terrorism since 1979?"

“Can see” should be replaced by “Prefers to see”.

Great. He can see America from an Iranian perspective (having an Iranian native as his puppet master). Unfortunately he can’t see America from an American perspective.

“”He actually knows what America looks like from the outside in.”

And that’s the problem with him being the POTUS. HIs primary perspective should be from the INSIDE and his isn’t.

It isn’t difficult to see Iran’s perspective when you ARE Iran’s perspective.

I have to admit - Obama can empathize with every thug and two bit dictator in the world.

And he 'feels one with' criminals and lowlifes in our own country.

Too bad he doesn't seem to like people who strive to hear the better angels of their nature.

Perfect! That will work great when he’s head of the UN.

Well, that is obvious, at least as presented in the headline. He sees it and he operates from that perspective.

Understanding your enemy's point can be useful, Agreeing with it is a whole other matter.

Obama Can See America From Iran's Perspective

And he agrees with it.

And what is Iran's perspective?

Oh, yes:

"DEATH TO AMERICA!"

If one assumes that 0bama is a homosexual, communist mohammedan bent on destroying America, everything he does makes sense.

Though the concept is repugnant to today’s leftists,
the very reason for requiring NBC status for the president

was so that his loyalty would be to America first.

Is there a difference between “Iran’s perspective” and Obama’s personal perspective? (remember, with Obama, it’s ALL personal, has nothing to do with national interest)

That’s the only perspective he can see America from.

[Thomas Friedman on Barack Obama: “He actually knows what America looks like from the outside in. And he can actually see America even to some point from the Iranian perspective.”]

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly.

But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to the baseness that lies deep in the heart of all men.

He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.

Marcus Tullius Cicero

Friedman gets it right for once, but not the way he intended.

Maybe a Freudian slip?
