A teacher suspended from a Catholic school for using Facebook to defend traditional marriage has been reinstated.
Almost one month ago, Patricia Jannuzzi was suspended from Immaculata High School in Somerville, New Jersey, after she made what became controversial comments about same-sex relationships. Over the next several weeks, she was told that the suspension was effectively a release from her job, as she would not be rehired for the 2016 school year...
"Immaculata High School announced today that all issues related to the employment of teacher Patricia Jannuzzi are resolved," said the release. According to Brennan, "Immaculata High School has reached an understanding with Patricia Jannuzzi. It is the Schools position that a Catholic school teacher must always communicate the faith in a way that is positive and never hurtful. Tone and choice of words matter and I trust Mrs. Jannuzzis stated promise to strive always to teach in a spirit of truth and charity.

One minute they argue hey [sic] are born this way and it is not a choice to get 14th amendment rights equal protection which was intended for unchangeable characteristics such as race and disability, she wrote. Then, they will argue everyone should be able to choose to engage in the homosexual lifestyle.
Same-sex relationships and its agenda threaten to reengineer Western civ[ilization] into a slow extinction," wrote Jannuzzi.
We need healthy families with a mother and a father for the sake of the children and humanity, she concluded.
We are at the point where ever single school that has “Catholic” in its title needs to eliminate it and they apply to the Church to re-certify to get it put back in.
The reinstatement is good news, but I’m sure this teacher will never forget the pain of her supervisor’s betrayal and the shock of being treated this way. I would humbly request from the Archbishop that I be transfered to another school asap.
Huge amen to that!
IMO, she should stay. The supervisor should be fired. The Archbishop should publicly apologize for letting this fiasco happen on his watch.
Are they still in shock that a Catholic Catholic school teacher would defend Catholic teachings?
Pretty hard to argue with that statement since the last three Holy Fathers have said the same thing.
It still makes me physically sick what this coward Bishop permitted and participated in, as this evil ran its course to demoralize, shame and threaten, and basically terrorize this dear teacher.
I won’t forget it. The injustices are too rampant in the Western Church, and it’s way past time to take names and kick.... “back”.
This shows the Church is an equal opportunity caver.

Without directly addressing the content of this lady’s comments, I would just like to say that in a free country, people are free to disagree or agree with whatever they want for any reason that they want.
She, I or anyone else should not be forced to agree with something that they do not agree with.
That is not what occurs in a free country.
I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. That is what i have known my whole life, and that’s the way it is for me.
I’m not going to go to someone’s same sex marriage and preach to them my beliefs or stand outside with pickets or otherwise be obnoxious to them.
If a state supports their marriage and a minister wants to marry them, okay. But do not sit here and tell me I have to participate in it or vocally support it or anything else, because I won’t. I do not see it as legitimate, but I realize that I cannot stop it.
They’re regular “defenders of the faith”.
This was the guy involved in her original firing. He's setting off my gaydar.
Ms. Jannuzzi is the kind of teacher I would want teaching my kids in school. She knows who she is and she knows where she’s going. None of her words were ‘hurtful’. Rather, Ms. Jannuzzi is telling like it is.
I seem to remember Jesus Himself telling it like it is. The Bishop and everyone else involved in this injustice should be ashamed of themselves.
God bless Jannuzzi.
The Pope just backed her legal case by rejecting the gay ambassador to the Vatican. The school’s attorneys then scrambled to minimize their liability.
What, you think this is about religion?

She is a bit stupid to think that the 14th amendment had anything to do with disability. This was merely a later interpretation, like that for gender and sexual orientation.
