A California judge has reduced a child rapist's mandatory 25-year sentence down to only 10 - saying anything longer would be 'cruel and unusual punishment'. Superior Court Judge M. Marc Kelly told an Orange County jury that 20-year-old Kevin Jonas Rojano-Nieto 'did not intend to harm' the three-year-old girl he raped at his family home in June. The judge said that he was sure that although Rojano-Nieto sodomized the girl and covered her mouth so she couldn't scream out, 'there was no violence or callous disregard for the victim's well-being'.

The victim’s family should go for a mistrial. If the judge is this crazy what else happened in that court room?

He needs to be recalled immediately. How can any intelligent person say the rapist didn’t intend to harm a 3 year old. The judge seems as bad as the rapist!!!
Personally, I suggest that the judge is more of a threat that the rapist...
Can’t we impeach these judges? They need to be held accountable to the people.

That thinking just takes your breath away.
I call upon this pig’s fellow prisoners to do what the Supreme Court forbids, kill this child raping piece of garbage.

Well, no calls by the left to boycott California so they must approve of child rape!
This is the first I heard of the judge's outrageous behavior and insane comments defending the rape of a child. Bill O'Reilly and Nancy Grace might take up this story, maybe others at FNC. (CNN is primarily obsessed with anti-police stories.)

Someone needs to do the same to him. The very notion of sodomizing a 3 year old is a callous disregard for the victim’s well-being.
No doubt this judge is a homosexual and a pedophile that sees nothing wrong with using a 3 year old as a sex toy.
I do not think the media will take this up.
The older I get, the more I realize how much runs underground.
Some years back, Belgium had a huge scandal where a ring of pedophiles was busted. The ring had been ignored for a long time because many members were in high places and it is suspected, even after it was exposed, that many members were protected because of their office, wealth, or status.
I am beginning to suspect that there is a large pedophile underground in the US as well, whose members are better plased and even more protected that ring in Belgium.
judge is elected so can and should be recalled
Some believe this was the reason “America’s Most Wanted” was dropped many years ago even though it had high ratings. It kept going after pedophiles.
how are judges removed from the bench?
I don’t know ... is there a recall procedure? I just think he should be removed. He is a disgrace.

Perp is probably an illegal alien, and the judge, a liberal buffoon who thinks that raping 3 year old babies is OK..let’s see if he felt the same way if someone raped his 3 year old daughter
