Conservatives need to enlist both their kids and friends kids, who are in high school or college, to get into the various social media sites and learn to blast away. With a little leadership and support, they could really help shape the landscape for us.
Pope Condemns Indifference To Jihadist Atrocities Against Christians [Obama Indifference!]
Still, I agree he could do more, but the media yawns at Pope comments that don't support the Left Wing agenda they promote.
Because they're opposed to gay marriage?
It's not refusing somebody based on their homosexuality, but rather a service/event.
It's VERY important this election cycle to remember that the media chooses its candidates not just on ideology, but on their campaign war chests. Much of the money candidates raise goes to the media, after all, in the form of advertisements, which usually must be paid for up-front. Cha-ching! Presidential campaigns are a HUGE windfall for them, so they'll always push the candidate who offers them the biggest bucks.
This extends to their polling, too, of course, in all races from dog catcher on up. They'll make sure they report that the race remains close right to the bitter end, before finally resorting to the truth to maintain their "credibility." The better to get those ad buys from both sides as long as possible.
“BTW, Corker supposedly goes to the Dominican Republic to enjoy their 16 year old prostitutes. Guys a creep is the scuttlebutt....gonna be hard to defend him.”
Do not be hoodwinked by the propaganda organs. The reason Menendez was indicted is very simple.
DO NOT CROSS the Obama.
By singing on with the Republican bill blocking any Iran deals Obama makes,
Dictator Obama is signaling the rest of the Democrats that he will play dirty to get his objectives in place.
Very simple power politics. The same used the world over since the world began.
All that really is name recognition.
I am convinced that once the campaign gets going in earnest, more and more GOP primary voters will reject Bush.
And in any case, Im not voting for him!
GET A CLUE! GOP/E...
RINOS are NOT acceptable.
Here’s the thing.
I certainly understand a florist might not want to cater a same sex wedding.
But most of us agree that to deny serving a hamburger to someone based on their sexual preference is just plain wrong.
I’m saying this is a very vague situation here and again, I assert that there are probably very few businesses turning down money for refusing such service.
Just a hunch on my part.
so the media and the gay lobby get all on a big horse and neigh bejeesus over the one or two businesses that are so devoted and frankly guys, it seems like a no-deal to me.
Now I know that RFRA was passed federally and by many states. But it’s become a sword to spear Republicans with and it’s so unimportant in the scheme of things.
By having Pence and the Arkansas Governor get up there all sorry like....it’s just bad, bad, bad dynamics.
The Republicans need to find a way to walk away from all this, but not by holding press conferences and murmuring how sorry we are.
Again, I’m conflicted and troubled.
How about gays being married by Baptist ministers? If they refuse, should we punish them?
What about gays wanting/demanding to take the Eucharist in a Catholic Church? Will we need government troops in it to force the priest to give them the Sacred Body and Blood of Christ?
The civil rights era was one thing indeed, but we really need to think thru how we’re going to enforce this on the religious community. After all, the church does not condemn the homosexual, just the act of homosexual sex. This is where the issue does not follow the civil rights legacy and argument. Being black is indeed something you are born into. The argument that gays are born that way could be made (I do not agree—I believe it is cultural, and some men I know, frankly, would have sex with a stump if they could). Having gay sex is a choice.
Christ told us that even desire in one’s heart—without even consummating the act—is sin. We are commanded to ask for our sins to be forgiven and go and sin no more. How can our government—or the mores of other people—force us to sin? Either people have a right to believe what they believe and follow it, or they don’t. And if they do not, then they do not have religious freedom.
That's not what the laws do nor is it what the pizza parlor owners said.
Should gay owners me forced to serve pro-gay marriage events?
Should atheist owners be forced to serve religious events?
Republicans don't need to walk away from this.
They should embrace freedom.
“Final thought...if he can gain any traction at all in the black Christian community, lightning may indeed strike.”
In my opinion - you are reaching too far.
1. the Black community will still vote 90% Dem.
2. the Black community TURNOUT in key states will NOT be there if there is no Black Pres. Candidate
Things to watch.
The Texas Senate is proposing a law (SB 276) allowing parents to place their children in ANY School AND take the State’s $5,000 with them to help pay for this choice.
If this law passes this year - Next year (2016) could see the Black community in Texas start to vote for Republicans
“Just like Rock-’Em-Sock-’Em Reid. (Washdc-D’Rat)”
I nominate this post (Pictures) for the abandoned Post of the Day.
What, FOX couldn’t score the best guest of the day? Guess I’ll watch elsewhere.
They could have had him on but Chrissy didn’t want to face a real man who wouldn’t put up with his childish attempts to discredit him...
Now it seems the powers that be want Jeb Bush.
Count on 2 , and as many as I can recruit, Fla votes against Jeb...
Conservatives helped do it to ourselves. From the voting rights act to smoking restrictions, followed by bans, to where we are today, conservatives allowed these things to happen.
Voting rights didn’t need a new law, we should have enforced the constitution in the first place. States were already ready relaxing abortion restrictions, we didn’t need Roe v. Wade. We didn’t need health warnings on cigarette packages or restricting where people could smoke. We were wrong to create laws against discrimination, where a business lost the right to refuse serving someone through government force. Taken in total, we’ve been giving away our rights to government definitions of fairness and tolerance. Now the PC crowd is going too far and some people complain. They should have been complaining many years ago, not just today.
WEll, I did say that Ted must “break the molds” and you may be correct that my hope for inroads into the black hopes is a bridge too far.
But chalking them up as a lost cause, without making any effort, is unwise, imo. When he announced in Lynchburg, he specifically mentioned the millions of evangelical Christians who failed to vote in 2008 and 2012. There must be some black voters among those millions.
Happy Easter to you Rod...
If it’s Bush vs Clinton, we need to take our boats and head for friendlier shores :):)
A Cruz Walker ticket would be just fine with me.
Count me in on that also. Great succession there either way.
To me Cruz/Walker is the preferred order. The guy who can cut through the bull leading, and the equally capable “ doer” getting things straightened out.
In today’s world, where o’ where are friendlier shores?
Canada? Too cold for me! And overrun with even more leftists than here.
Australia? Conservative government now, but no 2nd Amendment and filled with anti-gunners.
New Zealand? The antipodal Massachusetts, politically.
Various Central and South American nations? Are we to be like the Pilgrims in Holland? Migrate to some foreign land and slowly watch our children become foreign?
No, our backs are to the sea. We must fight or succumb.
Why should a pastor object to marrying a same sex couple using the same logic. That is the end game of this little charade is to put the churches out of business by suing them out of existence.
