"Christian Man Gets Denied Service By THIRTEEN Gay Bakeries After Requesting Pro-Traditional Marriage Cake"
I know it must come as a shock to many to discover that the oh-so-tolerant left does not practice what they preach, but it seems that those who call for bakeries to be compelled to render services for those with whom they disagree are not always willing to abide by the same principle. According to Buzzpo.com, a whopping thirteen bakeries turned down business from pro-traditional marriage supporters when they wanted a pro-traditional marriage cake made.
When gay activists target Christian bakeries, everybody gets up all up in arms over it and freaks out. Some Christian bakeries that refused service were even made to undergo comprehensive training on anti-discrimination laws because of reports that the bakery was turning away customers who wanted gay wedding cakes made. They are called bigots and slammed with hate.

Bump!
Sue them all.
I believe this mischaracterizes the actual response of the Christian bakeries. They were unsupportive, but probably polite about it.
I know the Westborough Baptist Church is just a leftist front group, but how awesome would it be for them to sue the snot out of LGBT businesses? Why doesn’t some other ambulance chasing lawyer group jump on this bandwagon?
Sue!!!!
What bothers me is that there are so many faggot bakeries.
Agreed. We're at war. Merely exposing their hypocrisy isn't enough.
Yeah. Just try to find a male(?) florist that isn't a homo.
You’ve hit upon a central point in this ridiculousness. If there are so many “gay bakeries,” or bakeries in general that have no problem making a “gay wedding cake,” the only reason to ask a Christian bakery to make one is to cause trouble and get attention.
Newsflash! Leftists are hypocritical azzholes. So what else is new?
No law suit, no fight. Not even just the suit, but having them compelled by the court afterwards is the real point.
Christians aren't a protected group. The argument can be made that the item ordered was political in origin, and denying service is a freedom of speech issue. The return from gays would be that they just wanted a normal wedding cake, like would be at any other wedding, for their shacking up ceremony.
In short, the business denied the content, which is permissible under the law, as it was done without regards to the person making the order.
If a gay wedding cake maker denied a standard wedding cake to a Christian, you'd probably have at least a minimal case. In relation to this story? None at all.
All that said, I think ANYONE should be able to deny service to ANYONE for absolutely no stated reason at all. I do not have to defend turning down business in the slightest. I make the decisions as to whom I work for. Not the government. And that's really what needs to be fixed.
Marriage is a covenant defined by God, not a contract defined by man and thus cannot be regulated by man’s governments.
Because too many government officials are now hostile to how God defines marriage, government is being used to force me to recognize and even enable “marriage” that God tells me is morally repulsive. Just as we have a separation of church and state, we must now have a separation of marriage and state. When marriage is a private matter, then anyone can enter into any manner of relationship they please, but they cannot use government to impose their definition on others.
One thing I find missing is that no judge has asked the activists if they tried other bakeries, and why they would want someone to bake them a cake when they didn’t agree with their lifestyle? God only knows what a baker could put into that cake. These pests need to have this turned back on them for their targeting - or profiling - but, alas, they aren’t that wise. If they didn’t seek out other bakeries, then they should be asked why not? Someone would be willing to bake them a cake to honor their sodomy. This, like racial profiling, is Christian profiling. Just one judge doing this would, I think, stop their behavior. They are perfectly free to seek a cake baker elsewhere - why aren’t the judges seeing through what these slimeballs are doing?
If this is the best that RFRA supporters can do, is it any wonder that they are losing in a rout?
I bet not one of these bakers would have refused to make a wedding cake for a man and a woman getting married — they probably each make half a dozen of them a month. They refused to make a cake that was an outright political statement. I’d bet most of them would have refused to make a cake that said “Straight Marriage is Wrong” or “I Hate Jesus” in pink frosting, too.
Requesting gay marriage cakes from Muslim bakers is a lot more to the point, not so much about whether or not gay marriage is bad but about whether liberals are freakin’ hypocrites.
Because the judges are arrogant and relish the opportunity to make law.
Nothing worse than a queen whose feathers have been ruffled - and I know this from experience.
