You assume “helping the middle class” is something more than a political slogan. As we both know, the left thrives on deception. Why? Because truth would lead to their ruin.
That’s why “marriage equality” suddenly showed up about 2-3 years ago. “Equality” is selling so much better than gay marriage did. Infanticide? No, that’s pro-choice. Tax the rich? No. That’s paying a fair share.
Again, if the left ever started using honest words, they’d be ruined.

“We need to invest in the infrastructure!”
“We need to invest in college students”
“We need to invest in the middle class!”
Obama’s legacy will be a list of intangibles; as far as any accomplishments that can be verified (jobs, standard of living, urban quality of life, healthcare, etc.) he is a proven failure. Instead we’ll learn how he single-handedly changed Americans’ hearts about “gay equality”, provided health insurance (NOT HEALTH CARE) to all Americans, saved the environment, blah blah blah).
He is truly the president of lowered expectations.
