THE KEY parameters for an agreement on Irans nuclear program released Thursday fall well short of the goals originally set by the Obama administration. None of Irans nuclear facilities including the Fordow center buried under a mountain will be closed. Not one of the countrys 19,000 centrifuges will be dismantled. Tehrans existing stockpile of enriched uranium will be reduced but not necessarily shipped out of the country. In effect, Irans nuclear infrastructure will remain intact, though some of it will be mothballed for 10 years. When the accord lapses, the Islamic Republic will instantly become a threshold nuclear state.
Thats a long way from the standard set by President Obama in 2012 when he declared that the deal well accept with Iran is that they end their nuclear program and abide by the U.N. resolutions that have been in place.
Both Mr. Obama and Secretary of State John F. Kerry emphasized that many details need to be worked out in talks with Iran between now and the end of June. During that time, the administration will have much other work to do: It must convince Mideast allies that Iran is not being empowered to become the regions hegemon; and it must accommodate Congresss legitimate prerogative to review the accord. We hope Mr. Obama will make as much effort to engage in good faith with skeptical allies and domestic critics as he has with the Iranian regime.

According to Mark Levin, the Iranian foreign minister tweeted, essentially, that Obama is blowing smoke and that the Iranians have not agreed to anything that Obama claimed today in his speech.

I can almost see the negotiations now..

Wow WaPo.
Yeah, but they promised to nuke us last.
Even the Post hates it. It’s bad, bad, bad, and will lead directly to war.
“We hope Mr. Obama will make as much effort to engage in good faith with skeptical allies and domestic critics as he has with the Iranian regime.”
Not a chance. And it seems that WaPo already realizes this.
It’s a hoot to watch the Post supposedly take him on, displaying a misunderstand what his goals were in the first place.
He attained HIS goals.
So the Post seeking to actually take him on, just confuses everyone on the issue. I guess I shouldn’t misunderstand it’s goals either. They were attained here.
Misdirection, confusion, chaos... (it’s the Leftist grab bag of tricks)
The Iran deal has zero provisions to prevent Israel’s destruction from a nuclear attack. We don’t call him Zer0 for nothing.
when the obama stenographers at the wacompost admit what a crap deal it is that’s saying something...

This charade is meaningless....They didnt announce a deal. ...In fact, they didnt even announce an agreement. ....at best they only have confirmation that negotiations will continue. ...For Tehran it means continued sanctions relief, and for the Obama it means his diplomacy cannot yet be judged a failure..... Just goes to show the measure of how low Obama has set the bar for diplomatic progress...
So no there isn't a deal, but Obama has just shown the world how desperate he is for one...and Iran knows it!
