Question for a Mormon

How does the Mormon community react when one Mormon tells lies about another Mormon and brags of the lie's success.

The offending Bishop is now in the Stake Presidency - my wife and I almost divorced because of him. The same three families have been in the leadership positions and the same corruption has poisoned this ward for almost sixteen years now. So many have LEFT the ward, they closed the branch to get members in. We were also disfellowshipped for going to the branch. They claimed that the Lord couldn’t see us once we left the ward perimeter. They made my life hell - and the reason? “He has to learn to do as he’s told”. Pray about it? We were told “Only a Bishop or Stake President can get answers for your family”. I helped BUILD the Jordan River Temple.

Aren't you the one that tells everyone not to read any more scripture because God won't say anything more. Only read what you say it ok? Only believe what you is ok to believe? Keeping everyone nice and contained... /shiver

No, you will never find me ever having posted anything close to that, not anywhere in the ballpark, or even related in any way, so you are lying.

Your posts are just emotional outbursts, and "temple Mormon" is perfectly fine for people to use when discussing temple Mormons.

Toronto Temple. Both of us. Same answer.
I can and will stand at Judgement and defend every decision we made. And I will stand as witness against those whose corruption brought it about.

"One thing that I have always seen with people that leave the Church over some offense...generally they were looking to be offended. And it never includes fastening and prayer. Lots of pride, very little humility."

Right out of the handbook...how original.

I've heard the same thing over the years and when I start explaining the real reasons I left; "lalalala, I can't hear you!".

They made my life hell -

I'm truly very sorry you had that experience. And I don't say that lightly...

I wasn't there though. So obviously I can't really have an opinion.

I do hope you find away to come back. Hey, General Conference starts tomorrow. Watch it on LDS.org...I will be. :) At least you can be together with the Saints during this time. :)

I do hope you'll consider it.

"wrong."

Not good enough. All of the "leaders" in the church are purportedly "called of god"...

Really? Awesome!

Those are my personal observations...

when I start explaining the real reasons I left

Your reasons are your own. I wouldn't mind hearing in a private message though.

30 years as a Latter-day Saint and have never once heard anyone referred to as "Royalty". You've seriously sunk to a new low.

(I'm getting the feeling that between your "we never use" a reference to "Elder brother" Satan...which I proved your "never" wrong several times over...and now this...that you just don't seem to "get out" and circulate with your fellow Mormons...are you living a sheltered Mormon life?)

April 2015 General Conference Resources for Mormon children (put out by Mormons but not an official lds.org site)

Q: If you were to describe a Royal person, what would he or she be like?
Answers can range from attitudes to clothing and jewelry, etc. Write them on the board.
Have props on hand to place on a “volunteer”. These can include: crown, robe, gown, jewelry, scepter (made from cardboard)…
Have a girl come to the front, and go through the list on the board, dressing her in the items you brought.
Q: So, does ______________ look like a princess?
A: No!
Q: Why not? She has on all of the things you mentioned were royal.
A: Take answers from the girls, and have your “volunteer” sit down.
Q: Would you like to know what Royalty looks like to me?
...“God has given the women of this Church a work to do in building his kingdom – which is, first, to teach the gospel to all the world; second, to strengthen the membership of the church; and third, to carry forward the work for the dead. Know that you are daughters of God, children with a divine birthright. Walk in the sun with your heads high, knowing that you are loved and honored, that you are a part of his kingdom, and that there is for you a great work to be done which cannot be left to others.” - Gordon B. Hinckley
Everyone in this room, everyone in this building is royalty. Everyone in this state; in this country; on this continent…. You get the picture. We are all royalty because we are all children of our Heavenly Father.
Sugardoodle.net General Conference resources for April 2015

We see "royalty" references in...
...the Lds church-owned Deseret News From the Homefront: From the Homefront: How to live like the Royal Family
...Pinterest.com pages where Lds members tout artsy stuff that proclaims "Be Loyal to the Royal Within You" (see We are all Royalty | crowns | Pinterest)
...Mormon quizlet cards online based upon Mormon classes that proclaim "we are all royalty we are entitled to his kingdom" (Livingstone Final)
...blogs on "Rational Faiths: Keeping Mormonism Weird" mentioning "we are all royalty" (Christmas Reflections: The Three Wise Men Posted by Julie Smith in Bible Scholarship, Featured, New Testament)
...a response to a blog ("We should all just address each other as 'Your Royal Highness.' We’re all royalty anyway!) per TimesAndSeasons.org: Melissa B. March 19, 2010 response to Alison Moore Smith's 'Do Titles Matter?'
...online Book of Mormon studies Book of Mormon Study
...instagram messages: Mormon Chick @mormon_four_life Instagram profile ...www.enjoygram.com/mormon_four_life Dec 15, 2014 - See Mormon Chick (@mormon_four_life) Instagram profile on Enjoygram. ... http://lds.org ... don't ever forget who you are! we are all royalty 👑 ...

Boy, all this Mormon nobility is a LOT of mountainous stuff to wade thru!

Lds as 'Kings and Queens'

Lds "scripture" used by some Mormons as "royalized" self-massage messages:

Doctrines & Covenants 88:37:

37 And there are many kingdoms; for there is no space in the which there is no kingdom; and there is no kingdom in which there is no space, either a greater or a lesser kingdom.

Joseph Smith says plainly -- right there -- that "there is no space in which there is no kingdom"

You might say, so what?

Well this is how some Mormon bloggers interpret D&C 88:37: 37 And there are many kingdoms; for there is no space in which there is no kingdom; and there is no kingdom which there is no space. (we are all Kings and Queens of our Kingdoms)
The Book of Mormon; Doctrine and Covenants 88:6-50 (April 23, 2010)

Then you have Mormon online forum site administrators discussing the implications of the "celestial kingdom":

Being a king or queen and making babies for a couple billion years probably gets boring at some point. I'm just harping on that to make my point. Joseph Smith maybe was given a cool story.
Happiness in the Celestial Kingdom? (Brian Johnston, Forum site admin, Washington DC, Nov. 18, 2011)

This causes a Mormon poster named Brown in the discussion to ask a few days later: "If we are all 'Kings and Queens', then King and Queen doesn't have much meaning. King over whom? Other Kings?"
Happiness in the Celestial Kingdom?

Btw, this above was in the "History and Doctrine" board index discussions.

Just as everyone was prom king and queen for an evening at the dance, we are all kings and queens in God’s eyes every day.
One Special Night (New Era, Feb 2009)

Now a few of these references -- like this last one -- is simply using regal language to convey a special attentiveness.

But many other references above go far above that.

No matter context: You said:

I have NEVER ONCE HEARD ANYONE REFERRED TO AS "ROYALTY"

(Which simply shows how 'out of touch' you are in claiming to represent ALL of Mormon culture out there)

And, now you can NO LONGER say "never" to the above!

And, hey, I gotta a new Mormon tagline out of all this!

What's the difference between what you're posting that are patently false and what Reid did?

Got any evidence that counters what has been posted; or are you just bluffing again?

is Willard or Huntsman going to run..

Well...

Office of First President & Living Prophet®:

November 8, 2012

Fellow MORMON Freeper Christians!!

I must apologize and ask for forgiveness from you all.

As you know, we at Headquarters NEVER tell you pew warmers how to vote. It says so right in our press releases. Anyway, we were ALL thrilled to the max when there were two – TWO! – MORMONs being touted in the primaries: Mitt Romney and Jon Huntsman.

Talk in our upper chambers high above SLC was how our gods were favoring us with these men; who had prepared their entire lives for an opportunity to save this Nation; which so badly needs guidance: OUR guidance even! So naturally, I and the other twelve analyzed and discussed the situation.

Consensus was that the voters should listen to the inner urging and vote for the one they wanted; but that seemed to be leaving WAY too much to chance.

I decided, that since I am the ONLY man on earth that can hear GOD’s voice, that I would pray for wisdom and clarity in the matter.

I hadn’t used the fleece in a while, so I questioned GOD with a test. A paper, with Romney on one side and Huntsman on the other was to be placed by the air conditioning vent high above my desk in the sumptuous office the Full Tithers have provided.
When the air would kick in later in the evening, while I was home, the paper would be blown down and whomever GOD wanted would then be visible on the upper surface.

As you can probably guess, when I came in the next day, the paper had landed on my desk, with Mitt’s name on top.
Last night, I was staying late, praying to GOD about how it was even possible that Mitt lost, when the janitorial cleaning crew came in. Being surprised to find me here, they apologized for interrupting me. I said to them, “It mattereth not, as I was about to leave anyway.”

As I was going out the door, the foreman of the crew just happened to mention that my office is ALWAYS so neat and tiny, never anything out of place, that they barely have to do anything to tidy up. Then one of the sweepers said, “Except that time in the spring when we came in to clean and found a paper with Huntman’s name on the floor by your desk. We put it back on your desk and left.

Tommy M.

PS Keep praying that Huntsman will add an “H” to his name. Jon looks so dang effeminate!

Onward to 2016!!!

"temple Mormon" is an anti-Mormon construct. vette6387 is correct, we don't use that terminology so it doesn't actually exist.

Then how DO you describe the 15% or so WORTHY Mormons?
