WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — Secretary of State John Kerry warns U.S. ambassadors that they will be dealing with “climate refugees” in the not-too-distant future.
Kerry told U.S. ambassadors at the Global Chiefs of Mission Conference in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday about the threat climate change poses around the world.
“There’ll be climate refugees that all of you will be coping with at some point, if not now, in the not-too-distant future,” Kerry said.
“Ninety-seven percent of all the scientists for 20 years tell us unequivocally that this is happening and happening now, and humans are causing it, and we have a responsibility to respond to it,” he said.

Except that it hasn’t been happening for 18 of those 20 years. None of the computer models have come close to actual observations. If anything, there is a cooling trend. The last ice age came on very quickly. That’s something to be concerned about, not CO2, which has no bearing on the temperature. The source of all heat is the Sun, any variation of temperature is from variations of solar output. If it goes down significantly, we have another Ice Age. We’re overdue.

Does he not think there were climate refugees when the Ice Age began and ended? This kind of thing has been around long before recorded history, SUVs, and carbon emissions.

Oh, we’ll be taxed and get the refugees and we’ll be told that more taxes are needed to stop the warming that’s not happening.
It has been warmer than it is now since the last Ice Age several times and each time has resulted in expansion and advancement of the human race. If anything, warmer is better for humans. We freeze to death pretty easily without fossil fuels to warm us.
