LINCOLN, Neb. State Sen. Sen. Ernie Chambers isnt backing down.
The state lawmaker froma Omaha defiantly stood Thursday on the floor of the Nebraska Legislature and rejected many of his colleagues calls for him to apologize or even resign for comparing cops to ISIS terrorists and suggesting hed shoot a cop if he werent nonviolent and had a gun.
I meant what I said and I said what I meant, Chambers said.
He said the irony is that lawmakers were discussing freedom of expression on Wednesday, and said it was ignorant and idle talk to suggest taking any kind of legal action, since lawmakers are immune from civil or criminal liability in connection with anything they say in the Legislature.
Im not going to resign, he said. Im not going to apologize. Why do you think I would apologize?

He is Holding the Holder Line....
[ This should give everybody pause. Take a deep breath and read what he said. Understand that this man was elected to represent the views of his voters.
He feels, as do many people, that the police are an active enemy of anyone that they dont like and can take advantage of.
I dont agree with that, but what is going on in these communities that this is such a prevalent belief? ]
He has got to represent the Nebraska Panhandle or the Sand Hills area.......
/sarc
His low reflectivity will give him a pass.
Well, he’s got on the right shirt anyway!
That’s three words : )
I agree that the good senator’s comments were a bit over the top. But saying people need the right to conceal carry in bars out of fear of ISIS is pretty darned stupid as well.
I carefully chose that picture :)
I don’t understand what he said wrong.
If in my judgement a police officer was threatening my life and safety, or the life and safety of a member of my family, I would kill him/her in self-defense just as quickly as I would any other criminal.
Is it somehow NOT okay for a black man to also be of that mind-set?
The Black Community is a complete disgrace!
**************
It surely is!
him afraid or his voters, oh please the man is just agitating and causing trouble. Maybe he should be saying that his voters should not commit crime, attack police, do drugs, speed etc.
That would be much better than saying he would shoot cops.
Another frigging lunatic in power with a ego along with arrogance to boot.
That’s a good law.
Such a law should be enacted, and enforced, in every state in this country.
Yea I thought the sarc tag has been forgot.
In what way is he acting like a......well you know?

“I dont agree with that, but what is going on in these communities that this is such a prevalent belief?”
Three things:
1. Cops do treat Blacks abusively for any number of reasons the foremost of which is their experiences with them. It is sad, but the statistics don’t lie and cops are usually more on guard around Blacks because it’s prudent.
2. With Obola in the White Hut/Mosque, Blacks somehow feel “entitled” to ignore the law.
3. They have been fed a line of bull$hit for so long about how they are “oppressed” that they actually believe it, and they elect the people who feed them that line.
Of course he won’t. This is the time in which blacks may do absolutely anything with no recourse or punishment, and if you suggest they be punished, you will be beaten down with cries of ‘Racism’.
In the very near future, blacks will be able to call for the complete genocide of all whites, and anyone who dares to oppose it will be called “a racist”.
This is pretty much where you wind up when there is a PC protected group. This savage doesn’t even know he’s a savage. He thinks he’s up there with the angels.
Gee I don’t know, talking about killing cops?
