On Fox News, Greta just reported that the NY Times is reporting that regarding the plane crash in the Alps, one pilot was unable to return to the cockpit during the flight.
my guess is they thought it would be hidden from view, weather would make it too hard to find, it would remain lost until evidence would fade away
“The Malaysians were pretty quick to name the pilots on those flights, but this crash seems to be more quiet related to the pilots.”
Need time to make sure things are tidy. Don’t want folks getting the wrong impression of events.
Not necessarily, he may have needed to say a few “allah akbars” and ponder his “72 virgin somethings”.
It was the most moving experience. I was directing a tour bus at the time and everyone aboard said it was unforgetable.
How do we know it was a pilot banging on the door? Is it possible a FA or passenger, noting the plane descending, was attempting to see if there was a problem in the cockpit.
What exactly is "honor and distinction" to a Muslim? What is "honor and distinction" to a terrorist? Neither is necessarily a factor in helping to keep people alive.

Now, that is an excellent point!
Old joke: A pilot and a dog. The pilot is there to feed the dog, and the dog is there to bite the pilot in case he tries to touch anything. It's closer to the truth than you might think.
My mom was on a tour bus too. From Ohio.
“If so, this isnt the way it was supposed to work out....”
Better mousetrap -> smarter mouse. Can’t get through the door? Start out on the other side of the door. Game over.
I’m sure these settings were saved in the computer because this is a regular flight. The programming would of had to been changed by someone.
I’m betting the pilots name was Johann Jorgenson.
Exactly.
Spelled pitot, and they are airspeed sensors. They are even heated, so they don’t ice up.
"Whilst not wanting to discuss cockpit door procedures, I think it should be clear to those reading this thread that it requires a conscious person and a deliberate action of someone inside the flight deck to lock someone out and prevent entry to the flight deck."

Agree with your assessment. Does that make us prejudiced or aware?
There is a new, small Muslim run Mediterranean market in our area. Good food, but the kids and their teachers from the Muslim school come in together for lunch. My DH calls it a meeting of the FSBA. (Future Suicide B--- of America) It feels WEIRD going in there. Not going back.
Wow, I have seen a few films and read a lot about the SL-1 accident. I never knew that twist.
.
No more amazing than a Kenyan Muzzie being elected President of the US twice.
