Sources in the Israeli government claim the White House tried to influence the recent election because it wanted “revenge” against Benjamin Netanyahu.
“The White House is driven by three main motives,” an unnamed senior official told the Times of Israel. “The first is revenge. The second is frustration: It’s no secret that they were involved in an attempt to bring down the Netanyahu government – something that we have clear knowledge of – and failed. The third is the administration’s attempt to divert attention from the negotiations with Iran to the Palestinian issue.”
The source was likely referring to the group V15 which ran a get-out-the-vote campaign designed to push Netanyahu out of office. V15 was connected to the One Voice movement, which seeks a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The State Department reportedly gave several hundred thousands dollars to One Voice. V15 also hired a former Obama campaign strategist to run it’s campaign.
The accusation is just the latest retort in an escalating war of words between Washington and Jerusalem. Monday evening the Wall Street Journal published an article claiming Israel had spied on negotiations between the U.S. and Iran. The article makes clear the U.S. learned of Israel’s behavior by intercepting communications between Israeli officials. In other words, U.S. spies caught Israeli spies spying. Because of how the information came to light, the article’s sources downplay the spying but draw the line at sharing information with Republicans in Congress.
The Obama White House’s anger at Netanyahu has been building for months. It predates the Israeli election and Netanyahu’s address to Congress. Last October a “senior Obama administration official” who spoke to the Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg said that Netanyahu was “a chickenshit.”...

Leading figures in Washington’s pro-Israel community are calling on the Obama administration to turn down the temperature.
For years defensive of their support for US President Barack Obama and his White House, Washington’s pro-Israel establishment now fears that the train of US-Israel relations is “running off the tracks.” Speaking to The Jerusalem Post, their reactions ranged from deep concern to “bewilderment.”
“The fact that the outcome of a Democratic election in Israel seems to be of great concern” to the Obama administration, said David Harris, executive director of the American Jewish Committee, “is cause for deep anxiety and puzzlement.”
“Whatever the failings of the prime minister, the way this is unfolding runs completely contrary to the spirit of US-Israel relations,” Harris said. “The US appears to have a reasoned interest in prolonging the crisis.”
“As someone who was critical of several steps by [Netanyahu] during the campaign leading up to his re-election,” said Abe Foxman, longtime national director of the Anti-Defamation League, “I am even more troubled by statements now coming out of the White House.”
“What we are hearing from the Obama Administration raises deeper questions about their intentions and perspectives,” Foxman said. “From the beginning of the Obama years, there was a disturbing indifference to the mindset of the Israeli public.”
Childishness: Not a motive but certainly a force behind the behaviors.
Israel seems to be begging for a denial by the WH re: interference in the election so Bibi can unleash video or other evidence.
This I would love to see.
This is spot on, there is “a chickensh*t” involved in this mess and it ain’t PM Netanyahu.
My fear is it goes deeper than suspected.
What if Obama is an outright traitor to the U.S.
He empowers Iran with nuclear bombs.
Iran demolishes Israel. The mid-east then form a powerful coalition of Arab states hell bent on the destruction of the U.S.

Obama thinks he’s Henry VIII, and the Jews who oppose him are committers of treason who need to be sent to the Tower and then beheaded (or else, drawn and quartered).
