According to a recently released internal memo, Starbucks baristas will no longer write "Race Together" on customers' cups starting Sunday.
Starbucks spokesman Jim Olson says the campaign to create discussion on diversity and racial inequality will continue without the handwritten messages, which are phasing out as originally planned.

Failure has no effect on liberals. Haven’t you noticed.
Too bad ... :-) ... I’m there all the time! And the people that I see there ... we personally discuss Evangelical Christianity and conservative politics! I make the Christian presence and the conservative presence KNOWN inside Starbucks!
I was seriously hooked on that crap. No more.....I’m free at last!
All the Starbucks here are in the white areas of town.
Starbucks deserts!
If I can get the soda jerks at Starbucks to pay attention to my order in ANY case, I’m having success.
Get them to quit socializing back there and they’ll see profits go up even more.
And they could shut up and wash the front window and door once a week or every day. For what I pay them, instead of never
Shit up and get our coffee
I go to a coffee shop for coffee. That’s what I want, that’s all I want. I’ll never go to Starbucks again.
Sometimes it’s “the only show in town” for folks who need their coffee. This was enough to drive even those customers away and it was noticeable.
Better coffee at Dunkin & cheaper!
IF one were to encounter such a cup with the “slogan” emblazoned on it, the simple retort would be to write STFU on it and hand it back and ask for one in a plain brown wrapper.
Carpetbagging at its best. This company wants to have an honest dialogue about race? Why not a topic it might actually have direct impact over - as in the high unemployment rate among black youth?
Wife and stopped by a Starbucks to use a gift card I got somewhere. Unlike some here, I don’t hate their coffee. Anyway, I was really tempted to ask one of the baristas why every employee in the store was Lilly white Caucasian. Interestingly enough, this was in Woodinville WA, a suburb of the founding city, Seattle.
It cracks me up, that I can probably count on one hand the number of “ethinicly diverse” Starbucks employees I’ve ever seen in their stores here in it’s founding city. Liberal hypocricy strikes again.
If the barista is white, ask them how they can stand to look at themselves in the mirror every morning knowing that “white privilege” got them their job at the expense of some more deserving minority.
White area here too, I doubt there will be much written on any of the cups. My wife came in with one yesterday and I asked if anyone wrote on her cup. Her comment: they would not dare to do it!
My buddy and I used to go to this particular store in the mid morning hours and discuss our recent guns and ammo acquisitions. It used to really rile up most of the sandals and latte types but none dared say a peep.
No. Michael Jordan said that in reference to his shoes.

Just let them know they lost me and all those I work with black and white as we all thought this is one of the stupidest things we have ever seen.
must be nice to have money to burn
Do you drink it black?
