An 18-year-old neighbor was taken into custody following a stabbing that killed three young brothers at a North Carolina home Tuesday night. Two other family members were injured.
The incident was reported around 10:30 p.m. at a home in New Bern, WITN reported. The victims' names haven't been released, though New Bern police said the dead victims were brothers ages 12, 5 and 1.
The surviving victims, a sister and a mother, were released from the hospital. Two brothers were found dead at the scene, while the third later died at the hospital.
Eh Lar Doh Htoo, an 18-year-old neighbor, has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He was held in jail under a $1 million secured bond.
Police are still trying to determine a motive but said a machete-style knife was used in the incident. The children's father was at work when the stabbing happened, police said.
The suspect is of Burmese descent and may be from Thailand, police said.
More charges are pending, police said.
What is an Eh Lar Doh Htoo?
Sounds like an antidote to some toxic Congolese poison.
The perp and children were of Burmese descent according to reports.
.... In the wake of the aforementioned murder and another death in the area which was also thought at the time to be another murder, the local chapter of the NAACP is blaming ... (I can't believe I'm typing this) ... the public school system:
NAACP Blames School System for Crime
Two murders in less than 48 hours have the community searching for answers. How can we put a stop to the Meridian's violent crime?
"We should not have to have the crime at this rapid level," Meridian/Lauderdale Co. NAACP President Randle Jennings says.
Jennings says they believe the root of the problem lies within the Meridian public school system. He says many of these criminals drop out, can't find jobs and they run out of choices.
"The criminal is at fault, but what we're seeing is that these are young people that are almost in a position where they're desperate," he says. "I've been in education, my entire life. I've never seen a chaotic community and a sensible, productive school system."
A press release from the NAACP says:
"Meridian school board members consistently expelled or pushed out young people, creating early juvenile offenders!"
By that "logic" that not being able to find a job guarantees a high level of criminal activity American should have utterly imploded during the Great Depression. Note that it didn't.
The demise of Eva Carmichael is just one small item in a long list of such crimes (to be clear, none of the others involve murder) chronicled by Colin Flaherty at American Thinker earlier today.
The press's consistent refusal to give prominence to black youth crime, clearly even murder, is undeniable, pervasive — and a national disgrace.
In the days of Ellis Island, if you showed up with some dumba$$ uggie-boogie name that no English speaker could pronounce, they helped you out.
Dontcha just love multi-culti America?
“Dontcha just love multi-culti America?”
NO!
Aw, come on, Mr Jennings. For once, take the blame for not raising your kids right. This I'm-a-victim crap only goes so far, and you are way past that limit. Instead of blaming everyone else and asking us to throw more dollars at your problem, I say no more unless and until we see positive steps by the black community to clean up its own house.
Prayers for the family of the victims
A DREAMer.
I’m holding out for demon possession.
A nationwide right to carry law.
Says he’s from Thailand and may be of Burmese descent. How does a Burmese Siamese get to a tiny town in eastern North Carolina?
Or it could be the lack of a mom and a dad to raise them right.
Get rid of the Negro Police force that won’t go after Negro Criminals.
The name is Burmese.
Probably at our taxpayers expense.
Quite possibly the most brazen thread high jack in FR history.
Breathtakingly nefarious.
I agree. This isn’t even about black youths committing a crime if one was to actually read the article. And no offer of thoughts or prayers to the families of the innocent children of this horrific crime
