A hundred years from now, humans may remember 2014 as the year that we first learned that we may have irreversibly destabilized the great ice sheet of West Antarctica, and thus set in motion more than 10 feet of sea level rise.
Meanwhile, 2015 could be the year of the double whammy when we learned the same about one gigantic glacier of East Antarctica, which could set in motion roughly the same amount all over again. Northern hemisphere residents and Americans in particular should take note when the bottom of the world loses vast amounts of ice, those of us living closer to its top get more sea level rise than the rest of the planet....

The sky is falling! The sky is falling!
LOL....these people have been wrong 98% of the time in the past 10-15 years. How do you give out a grade of F minus ?
I bet Boston really cares
I would rather take my chance with a 10’ rise in the oceans than give unlimited power to a group of liberals.
Yet somehow the Antarctic ice sheet keeps growing, everywhere that there isn’t AN ACTIVE VOLCANO UNDERNEATH IT.
My bet is that 100 years from now, humans will remember 2014 as the year that the West was undergoing a modern version of the witch trial hysteria known as "Global Warming."
The “hole” ozone layer was discovered in circa 1975.
Was the ozone layer ever complete prior to that and...when?

The world is a sphere there is no TOP or BOTTOM....

Hint: It’s late summer down there.
Omigod, we’re all gonna die.
Why is “melting” automatically a bad thing?
In my best Count Rugen voice to Algore:
Are you still trying to WIN?!
What a dishonest article. It hoists the Man Made Globull Warming flag without ever mentioning the fact that most, if not all, of the melting in west Antarctica is due to deep ocean volcanic activity in that region:
I suspect a similar situation may be at play in east Antarctica.
I am so sick of this out and out propaganda.
The article claims that the ice melts in Antarctica and the water piles up on the shores of North America (or perhaps just the United States). That is some very vindictive water.
California needs a lot of fresh water. How about we just tell the glaciers that California is to blame and the water will all go there.
Oh horse$hi+.
Right after the Katrina hurricane, they told us, because of glo-bull warming, there would be so many more hurricanes the next year, that they doubled the name list for them. We never got even one.
In the meantime, they were telling us by 2012, the ice caps would be melted completely.
This crap is nothing more than an excuse to tax and control you with a threat that doesn’t even exist. And the people who continue to promote it are nothing more than totalitarian thugs and scum criminals.
