#12 – Genesis: “Tonight Tonight Tonight”

This is Phil Collins back with his old band once again. They shot this in the Bradbury Building in downtown Los Angeles.

#11 – The Beastie Boys: “Fight for Your Right”

This hard rocking tune is not quite as good as the video.

Good evening, Luv!

*HUGS*

Just WOW! Barbara Lewis - "Baby I'm Yours!"

The last time I heard that one I was still south of the big Three-Oh!

Thank you so much! How are things going with you? Staying warm, I hope?

ROCKUMENTARY: MARCH 14, 1987

#1 – Huey Lewis & the News: “Jacob’s Ladder”

This was less of a Fifties throwback than his earlier work, and it sounds more like Eighties rock. This was a huge hit for him.

Huey Lewis & the News: “Jacob’s Ladder”

That’s it for tonight.

Tomorrow night we start something completely different. It’s time to go classical once again. This time it’s a survey of Beethoven’s chamber music. You think classical music in general – and chamber music in particular – are boring? Guess again! Lou Beethoven was a master. The early works have some of the funniest musical gags in the repertory, and the late works are conversations with God. Come with me on a voyage into some of the greatest music ever written.

Cue the Rockumentary theme!

Rest well, Maestro - I look forward to the tour through Beethoven's chamber music with great anticipation. We are so fortunate to have had geniuses like him among us. Without Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, and others I would go stark raving nuts.

I hadn’t heard it in a while either till they played it on our satellite radio at work. I had to “Shazam” it to find out the artist. I had never heard of her! LOL!

But I found the tune and downloaded it. It’s a classic all right!
