Is there a way to get rid of cable and just do Netflix over Wi-Fi?
I’d ditch it today if I knew it’d work.

Get a Chromecast, Roku or Apple TV, you can then stream Netflix to your TV.

Is there a way to get rid of cable and just do Netflix over Wi-Fi? You'd need some connection to the outside internet. Lots of devices can do Netflix without a cable subscription (AppleTV, Roku, Kindle Fire TV, most modern BD-players, and many newer "smart" TVs), but you still need an outside internet provider.

Is your Internet connection via cable or phone or cellular?
IIRC, my cable company (Cox) requires at least basic TV in order to get cable internet. [I have not checked to see whether that is still true.]
I stream Netflix via a ROKU box and/or Western Digital TV box.

I don't have cable. I have Netflix and a mobile hotspot. Never had a problem watching Netflix content on my iPhone or Kindle Fire. The only issue is using all my gigs before the billing cycle is through.
I can even watch Netflix on iPhone in my car using just regular LTE and Bluetooth for the audio through the car speakers.

Is there a way to get rid of cable and just do Netflix over Wi-Fi?We got rid of dish network and signed up for netflix and amazon prime. In my den, I have a Roku 3. It is wi-fi enabled. (Roku 2 is cheaper, but needs to be wired to the ethernet connection.) Our XBox 360 has a netflix and amazon application, as does the Wii. They both are wi-fi connected.
The Roku 3's remote is a bluetooth receiver for the audio too. You can plug your earphones into it and watch TV without disturbing others. Very cool.

Yes, that is what I do. No cable out here in the boonies. Have DSL and no issues except occassional blips when the power goes out...I stream Netflix from WIFI.

Is there a way to get rid of cable and just do Netflix over Wi-Fi? First I did Netflix over a Roku puck via Wi-Fi. Sucked. Then did Netflix over an Apple TV puck via Wi-Fi, works pretty good but limited to my HD TV connection. Doing Netflix via Safari browser on my Mac works best, pretty good interface and very portable over Wi-Fi.
