" The number of Americans who live in a household with at least one gun is lower than it has ever been.."
(Excerpt) Read more at newser.com ...
“Ruger Posts $14.8 Million Loss for 4th Quarter
Couldnt that just mean everybodys got what they need? lol”
Everyone needs to read the Ruger article. Ruger took a $41 million charge against earnings to revamp their employees pension plan. Absent that one time expense, they had profits of $26 million!
[[Gun Ownership at Lowest Level]]
IF it’s at an all time low it’s because state and feds keep confiscating and violating our second amendment rights- people aren’t hunting as much any more because they make it nearly impossible to get guns and permits to hunt any more-
[[This is, quite simply, fabricated and insufferable bullsh*t on the part of some liberal *sshole indulging in wishful thinking.
It has NO basis in fact.]]
Doesn’;t matter if it’s BS- it’s out in print now, and low info voters will gobble it up as ‘proof that America’;s attitude towards guns is changing” and that was the only intent of the article- to convince people, not to report the truth
[[Theres a picture of a gun in a magazine at the Dentist, does that one count?]]
And they haven’;t arrested him yet?
I don’t own a gun but did chew a pop tart into what ‘looks a little like a gun’ does trhis count?
I always sensitive personal divulge information to polling companies. I’m not worried that these operations could be government fronts or have back doors to the Feds.
Not.
Millions of guns were lost when canoes capsized in cataclysmic cataracts along the Chattahoochee.
I think the strategy for the anti-2nd amendment lobby is going to be the same one used by the anti-smoking lobby.
They haven’t had any luck in a straight ahead assault so they’ve started a campaign to embarrass potential gun owners.
A public shaming of sorts.
Why would you want to own a gun?
Do you think assault weapons should be mandatory for toddlers?
It may take 20 more years but it could be as effective as the anti-smoking lobby was at getting smoking all but declared as a crime against humanity.
They’re going after the mushy middle to create a majority.
Then they’ll hammer away with that majority.
The steps will be small at first but drip by drip they’ll work on swaying public opinion.
Once that’s accomplished they’ll start chipping away the same way the anti-smokers did.
I think the drop in gun ownership can be tied directly to the rise in boating accidents.
The consent drip-drip-drip of STD’s..unless it gets treated it won’t go away.
“The consent drip-drip-drip of STDs..unless it gets treated it wont go away.”
Haha pretty much.
I should have added in my earlier post that I don’t think they’ll try to change any current hearts or minds.
They’ll go after the kids.
Start teaching them in kindergarten the evils of guns.
It isn’t just the anti-smoking lobby that used this to great effect.
One worlders have done it with racism and the gay lobby has done it with homophobia.
Things that would have been totally alien when I was in my teens are not only acceptable now they’re just a given.
I grew op on one we were the dead end kids
“According to the latest General Social Survey, 32% of Americans either own a firearm themselves or live with someone who does, and are foolish enough to admit it to anonymous others over the government-monitored phone.”
On another article about this, it was claimed that the response rate for polls is down to 9%.
There are a lot of people who do not do polls.

They have been trying that for decades. It. Has. Not. Worked.
They have lost control of the narrative. There are competing narrative out there now.
There best hope is a sort of “Fairness Doctrine” on the Internet...

So far they mostly tried changing the minds of people whose minds aren’t going to change.
Give them another 20 years when the kindergarteners of today are the new wave of voters and the older voters are dying out.
If you think they won’t get there just look at gay marriage also look at how younger voters today will do whatever it takes to avoid being called racist or homophobic.
School shootings were unheard of before Columbine. Not so much now and given another 20 years or so to “correctly” educate the next generation, well, let’s just say I don’t think they’ve lost the narrative.
I have never answered a poll. I either don't answer, or hang up when I find out it's a pollster.
I know nobody in our family has any just like a lot of others that used to own them but either sold them, lost them, or got rid of them for the sake of "the children".
See someones observation equating 2nd Amendment with smoking.
Lost all mine when the canoe tipped over crossing the river.
