I think the strategy for the anti-2nd amendment lobby is going to be the same one used by the anti-smoking lobby.

They haven’t had any luck in a straight ahead assault so they’ve started a campaign to embarrass potential gun owners.
A public shaming of sorts.
Why would you want to own a gun?
Do you think assault weapons should be mandatory for toddlers?

It may take 20 more years but it could be as effective as the anti-smoking lobby was at getting smoking all but declared as a crime against humanity.

They’re going after the mushy middle to create a majority.
Then they’ll hammer away with that majority.
The steps will be small at first but drip by drip they’ll work on swaying public opinion.
Once that’s accomplished they’ll start chipping away the same way the anti-smokers did.

They have been trying that for decades. It. Has. Not. Worked.

They have lost control of the narrative. There are competing narrative out there now.

There best hope is a sort of “Fairness Doctrine” on the Internet...
