ROCKUMENTARY: MARCH 7, 1986The payroll consolidation project had been cancelled due to cost overruns, and I had found a place to hide in the bank by working for one of my former users. I was waiting for my corporate enemies to leave before I would return to the fray.
So what were you up to?
Cue the Rockumentary theme!

“Ill be right over.”
;-) I actually made it yesterday so that Mrs. spel said that I should make one to take to the beauty shop. We go together. This morning I made another one to take to the beauty shop.
The females in the shop were going bananas, no pun intended, for that pie. They asked me if I wanted to eat a piece of the pie. I said that I did not want a piece because I had another one in the refrigerator at home. They said, “OH! OK! You can come back with it tomorrow!” LOL
I think that females fall in love with anything that is sweet or has flowers on it!

I have told this story before. One of my daughters died in 2004. A few weeks later, my other daughter and I were at a store which sold those punching bags. I told her I was like one of them. No matter how often I get knocked down, I just kept popping back up. I still believed that after my brother’s death in May, 2006, my husband’s death in July, 2006, my bil 2 weeks later and then, my mom in January, 2007. God is the answer. God bless.

Hi Ma, yup the bandages came off today and the difference is stunning!
I can now see equally well with both eyes, but will still need reading glasses for close up!
It's amazing the difference and how "blind" I was.
So, I encourage you to get it done as soon as you can.
I'm still a little woozy/tired, so just resting and FReeping tonight.

If someone would say to me, “Hey, let’s go out tonight to listen to some Classical music,” I would say, “OK!” I would go and enjoy myself.
Likewise for old Rock And Roll, Blues, Jazz or Progressive Jazz.
However, if I would get to choose which kind of music then I would say, “SALSA!” ;-)

ROCKUMENTARY: MARCH 7, 1986
#9 The Dream Academy: Life in a Northern TownThis was one of the great songs of the Eighties and one of the few songs that could make me reach for my handkerchief. Its atmospheric, beautiful and imaginatively arranged. Catch the cello and English horn, a.k.a. tenor oboe. The moment they go a capella near the end is a production masterstroke.

Probably overlooked as a blues artist, this song is described as a combination of rock, pop, gospel and orchestral music, and indeed incorporates those elements, yet any blues man will tell you that the performance with it's emotional delivery and impassioned lyrics puts it firmly in the blues stable.
Composed using the same four chords as Journey's "Faithfully" (written by Jonathan Cain) which had recently been in the charts, Prince, to his credit phoned Cain asking him to hear it, worried that it might be too similar to "Faithfully", a connection that few musicians or listeners would easily make. Cain was impressed and reassured Prince, telling him the songs only shared the same chords.
The song reached #2 On the Billboard singles chart in 1984 and has become Prince's signature song. Rolling Stone Magazine ranked it #143 on their list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. Prince's vocal range on the song spans from the low note of F3 to the high note of A5. I include Journey's "Faithfully" for comparison and because the power balled is about as close as Steve Perry and the boys came to Blues with it's melancholy lyric and Steve's emotional delivery.
The other two unlikely cover artists here remove all but the most cynical doubt that Prince penned a blues classic.
