Citing his failure to pass stricter gun laws in 2013, President Obama used dramatic language to discuss the gun debate on Friday.
It is hard to reduce the easy availability of guns, Obama complained during a town hall meeting at South Carolinas Benedict College.
As long as you can go on into some neighborhoods, and its easier for you to buy a firearm than it is for you to buy a book, there are neighborhoods where its easier for you to buy a handgun and clips than it is for you to buy a fresh vegetable, Obama continued. As long as thats the case, were going to continue to see unnecessary violence.
Despite the failure of Congress to act, despite the failure of too many state legislators to act, in fact, some place it is goes in the opposite direction, we should have firearms in kindergarten and we should have machine guns and you know in bars and you think Im exaggerating, you look at some of these laws that come up, he said.
Obama was specifically referencing a 2013 effort to expand background checks for gun purchases.
I thought after what happened at Sandy Hook would make us think about it, Obama said. You would have thought thats got to be enough of a motivator. But we couldnt get it done.
WATCH:
I’ve never tried to buy books or vegetables in a bar...................
It’s not that it is hard to buy a book in some neighborhoods, no one wants to.
Just laugh in his face.
A whole roomful of people laughing at him.
Laugh until he’s forced to leave.
And many of those neighborhoods where its so easy to buy guns are neighborhoods in which black youth gangs have created chaos and violence. What’s his point???
They're MAGAZINES!
More bull from the BSer-in-chief.
As long as you can go on into some neighborhoods, and its easier for you to buy a firearm than it is for you to buy a book, there are neighborhoods where its easier for you to buy a handgun and clips than it is for you to buy a fresh vegetable,
And he knows this... How? Personal experience in Chicago? Or perhaps he’s remembering his trip to Pock-i-stan as a young man?
I guess the dramatic increase in violent federal swat raids on home schools, dairy farmers and guitar manufacturers doesn't count, now does it buck-o.
The feral gubbamint salivates over the notion of disarming Americans.
Doubtless there are neighborhoods that happen to have a gun store, but no grocery store. And the point of observing this is what?
There are also neighborhoods where fresh vegetables, firearms and ammunition can all be bought at the same store — to wit those that have a Walmart Supercenter. So?

He’s a moran. That’s a notch below moron.
I have to say, at least he’s entertaining off ‘prompter.
get that man an inhaler....
Again, the Zero is just making it up. He’d be just another pitiful stupid a$$hole if he had no power. He’d be sitting down by the railroad tracks giving blow jobs for a bottle of wine.
...its easier for you to buy a handgun and clips...
>>>They’re MAGAZINES!<<<
Books, magazines, what’s the difference?
Oh, never mind. LOL

So he wants to strengthen background checks in gang neighborhoods? Please explain how this would work. Would the ATF set up “background check stands” where gangbangers would line up to fill out the paperwork and give fingerprints before either stealing or buying their next gun?
This is South Carolina. Was he in some sort of institution for the mentally defective?
Why wasn’t he laughed out of the room?
