The mystery man linked to Hillary Clintons personal e-mail account appears to be a Washington, D.C. stockbroker and former aide to the Clintons who played a walk-on role in controversies that dogged the former first family soon after it left the White House in 2001.
The initial Associated Press report Wednesday about Hillary Clintons use as secretary of state of a personal e-mail server installed in her home in Chappaqua, N.Y. traced the creation of the system to a man named Eric Hoteham. Theres virtually no trace of an individual by that name in public records or other online databases.

However, a Clinton aide named Eric Hothem was linked to a flap in 2001 about the Clintons shipment of furniture and other items from the White House at the end of President Bill Clintons second term.
White House usher Gary Walters said Hothem told him that the furnishings were the Clintons personal property, the Washington Post reported at the time. The White House Counsels Office determined that some of the items were personal gifts to the first family, but the National Park Service said others belonged to the White House.
Walters said at the time he had not done enough to question the assurances offered by Hothem and others. The Clintons ultimately paid $86,000 for gifts they took with them and returned several items of furniture to the White House.
Hothem is also mentioned in a 2002 House Government Reform Committee report as having played a role in a $15,000 wire transfer from the Clintons to Roger Clinton, Bill Clintons brother. The panel was probing pardons and commutations President Clinton granted at the end of his presidency.
The House report identifies Hothem as an aide to First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton and says the $15,000 was sent from a Citibank account in care of Hothem. Longtime Clinton lawyer David Kendall told the panel that the payment was directed to Roger Clinton and intended to help him pay for legal counsel to represent him in the investigation.
The committee report said Roger Clinton deposited $335,000 in travelers checks in a U.S. bank during a two year period. Clintons attorney said the checks were payments for musical performances overseas.
Hothems wife, Sue, is a fundraiser and consultant with long ties in Democratic politics. She served as development director for the Democratic Leadership Council and Progressive Policy Institute, centrist Democrat groups that helped bring Bill Clinton to national attention. She ;ater worked for fundraising firm Benchmark Strategies and was named last fall as membership director for the high-tech lobbying group, TechNet.
Industry records show Eric Hothem has been a licensed stockbroker in Washington, DC since 2003, first with Citigroup and more recently with JP Morgan. Hothem did not immediately return a message from POLITICO seeking comment.
As Hillary Clinton prepares to launch a bid for the White House, her use of the personal e-mail account as her sole account while secretary of state has prompted both criticism from open government advocates and attacks from Republicans. The State Department said this week that she forwarded 55,000 pages of e-mails from the account to the agency in December in response to a request for any work-related emails she or prior secretaries of state sent or received on personal accounts.
If it was Hothem, and he did set up the server and used a false name - The SEC and FINRA will want to know why he is using aliases for outside business activities. AND, if he falsified the records to change his name, it’s TROUBLE FOR HIM.
Jeez, I wonder when & where was the last time that Eric Hoteham saw Vince Foster?
for later
She made the decision to break the Federal Records Act requirement. BOOM!
Apparently, others "under her" did as well.
Of course, why would anyone be concerned about the Muslim Brotherhood email going through these females' computers?

“The committee report said Roger Clinton deposited $335,000 in travelers checks in a U.S. bank during a two year period. Clintons attorney said the checks were payments for musical performances overseas.”
Ha! Yeah, Roger Clinton plays bass, but I doubt anyone would pay to see him do it. That money was payment for buying big brother Billy’s dope for him.
All US Department of State Email is consider Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) which is the rest of the Government's Unclassified. SBU was put into place to ensure all communications were covered under the NIST guidelines and government regulations, Foreign Affairs Manuals, Pamphlets, etc. so that no one was able to legally conduct any business with private Email accounts.
State Department Email is normally conducted on MS Exchange Servers. If the mail is to the same server's users it says locally to that network segment. If it goes elsewhere to someone in State, then is stays in the Departments Cloud, if it goes outside, then it transits public servers. It is not improper to send Email to a public server. It is improper to send Department Business from its employees from public servers. State Department communications are encrypted and decrypted as it travels different paths. This encryption is to prevent compromise, and is for all SBU workstations and network communications.
The entire Obama administration has been caught using personal email to conduct official business. Just because they do this does not make it legal. They should all be given the Gen. Petreas Treatment and put in jail as felons.
“What Difference, At This Point, Does It Make?”
It sounds more likely that there is a typo in the registration. Even a Clinton toady wouldn’t consider that changing his name from Hotham to Hoteham would be a clever disguise that no one could penetrate.
Misspelling your name is a standard conman stunt. It tends to suppress the number of hits in public records searches, while giving plausible deniability down the road. Now if it could be shown that he has used this “misspelling” on multiple occasions setting up other accounts... the limits of credibility begin to stretch ...
So this guy is a long time capo in the Clinton Crime Family...interesting.
To ever so slightly misspell your name is an old trick use by people with bad credit and other scams.. the idea is the system will not match on it or flag your in the database...
and if you get caught you claim you made an honest mistake.... were not trying to hide your identity ...you just made a typo
My comment on the Politico thread:
Screeching voice scream:
“AT THIS POINT, WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE??!!”
It made a big difference to your “good friend” Ambassador Stevens, and the other Americans you abandoned to die while they were under attack. Instead of sending a rescue force, you were too busy cooking up the false narrative of the video, and sending Susan Rice out to lie about it over and over again.
Say, Hillary, where WAS President Obama all night of the Benghazi attack? Where was he hiding, so that he could not be put on the spot to grant or withhold Cross-Border Authority, which only he can do? Where are the emails you sent that night?
From 2000: Al Gore's missing White House emails.

its a trick as old as the hills taught for as long as I can remember in the less than honorable credit cleaning classes and no money down real estate seminars
....its a weasel lawyer trick to say oh I wasn't trying to hide my identity I just made a mistake if you get caught doing it...
Of course these days just pretend you're an illegal then you can make up or steal any identity you want
Her mystery man is probably George Sorros! Sorros always did hate America and wants to bust it of all our money! Corruption is more than a hardening of the heart! It is down right hatred beyond any word that the human mind can conceive!
No man, no matter how desperate he was, would ever get near (stand behind) Hillary’s behind.
I saw a film the other night on elephants in a nature preserve with a huge bull male mounting a female in heat.
You can use your imagination, but bring along a barf bag if you do.
