With his outspoken views against foreign aid and a muscular foreign policy, Kentucky Republican Senator Rand Paul was less-than-enthused by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahus speech on the Iranian nuclear threat.

I dunno... not forcing open Japan might have resulted in no expansionistic Japan, no invasion of China, no Communist takeover of China, Detroit still being economically viable.
To: Polyxene
He won the CPAC poll the same way King Putt won the Iowa caucuses, he hauled in a bunch of ringers.

I saw Paul standing there looking bored and he showed me he cares nothing about foreign policy or Israel.

His foreign policy is that off 1654 more like.
Why doesn’t he go and join the Dem party as he has more in common with those nuts than he does with the GOP.

I agree with Rand on stopping the foreign welfare (”foreign aid”) but differ with him to the extent he opposes the beefing up of our military.
The military and border patrol/control are the two areas where I think we should increase the federal budget, not cut it. Most of the rest of the budget should be slashed.

He’s more like his anti-sematic father every day.
His veil is lipping more and more.

The PaulBots are like Scientologists. They always come out in force for their guy at every straw poll on the planet, but can’t muster up more than a few percent of the vote in the actual election.

The US sent Commodore Perry to force open Japan during the 1850s. If Rand was around then he would decry that move. Hell Rand would have decried Admirals Nimitz and Halsey going to Japan in the 1940s.

They're like gnats in the summer, you think it's a swarm but it turns out that you only need to smash one or two of the buggers.

I became suspect when he and his dad both were absent from the Chamber last time Netenyahu spoke a few years ago. I am not one to believe in the anti-Semitic crap about the Pauls, but that was an awfully big coincidence. I don’t believe in coincidences in politics.

Rand Paul is about as in tune with today's political world as his dad was.
My point: He says lots of things people like hearing but he has little or NO power in terms of making it happen.
To: C19fan
It was the usual idiots at CPAC who voted for Runt in the presidential straw poll. To me, Runt is at the back of the pack, only followed by JEB!, Christie Kreme and Lindsssssssey.

The CPAC straw poll has been less than useless for years now. We know that Jeb bussed in people (not that it did him any good); and, Rand Paul, like his father before him, has a following of rabid young people with a strong libertarian outlook. So, you may be right, these guys would be the ones smokin something.
I had thought that maybe Rand Paul was a little more thoughtful than Ron Paul about foreign affairs; but, I listened to him one day, not so long ago, and realized the old truism that the fruit didn't fall far from the tree was accurate in this case.
To: C19fan
Rand Paul: NOT for President.
To: C19fan
Seriously, this guy is Ron Paul’s son....what would you expect??? He is not material for president.
To: FR_addict
He should have been sitting on the other side of the isle with the other anti semites
