The article makes a sweeping claim then gives only one example in regards to be headings. And even that is a weak one.
Mohammed gave a command for beheading then enemy then gave a suggestion for what to do with prisoners. You don’t have a misinterpretation... You have a legit disagreement over scripture.

This isn’t about doctrinal differences. You can get as many disagreements over doctrine within Buddhism and Christianity as you can within Islam. The difference is that nobody in Buddhism or Christianity is beheading scores of people over them.
The majority of muslims clearly support the imposition of sharia on a global scale. That renders ALL of them suspect if not outright guilty of subversion.
All muslims are obligated by their faith to seek global submission to Islam. Shariah law for all.

islam is not a religion and hence not subject to Constitutional protections; legislation alone should do the trick. It's high time we had a measured, national debate on this issue.
I think a ton of this is ongoing knee jerk reaction to Graeme Wood’s write up in the notoriously hard liberal Atlantic, where he actually said that ISIS in fact is a truly Islamic groups that does what they do based first and foremost on their interpretations of the Quran, Hadiths, and Sura. In that write up, Graeme in fact was still being what one might call PC in that he affirmed that peaceful, liberal Muslims’ interpretation of Islam is as valid as ISIS’s. However, it was quite possibly the first time in the 14 years since 9/11 that a liberal publication openly acknowledged that ISIS and fundamentalist Islamic groups like ISIS do what they do for Islamic reasons above all else. And the backlash has been going on for weeks now.
read the Koran and you will see that ISIS is VERY Islamic indeed, as are all of Obama’s good friends in Islamic terror gangs like Muslim Brotherhood, etc.

The ISIS types say that these clerics are cowards or apostates, who don't take their faith seriously. So we, who are not mohammedans, have to look to the history of mohammedanism to see which group is more authentic. And since mohammedanism displays a history of bloody conquest, persecution, and genocide ....

NONE of the GOP’s 2016 “hopefuls” are even talking about this. It’s time for the Tea Party and others to raise the issue so forcefully that they cannot continue to ignore it.
I think this is a position that could swing a lot of independents and Democrats to our side — though they would never admit it to pollsters.
