If banning or regulating Islam requires a Constitutional amendment (based on the theory that it is a religion), then we should start drafting one.

islam is not a religion and hence not subject to Constitutional protections; legislation alone should do the trick. It's high time we had a measured, national debate on this issue.

NONE of the GOP’s 2016 “hopefuls” are even talking about this. It’s time for the Tea Party and others to raise the issue so forcefully that they cannot continue to ignore it.

I think this is a position that could swing a lot of independents and Democrats to our side — though they would never admit it to pollsters.
