Some Democrats may be boycotting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahus speech Tuesday, but tickets for non-members to get in to see the affair are proving to be a very hot item.
Each member is allotted a ticket to give out for seating in the viewing galleries, similar to a State of the Union address, and they are so in demand that Republicans have pleaded with boycotting Democratic colleagues to share their extras.
I could scalp that ticket, there are so many people who want it, said Rep. Tim Walberg, Michigan Republican.
Support for Israel has become dominant within the GOP, and Republicans said their family, friends and constituents clamored to get in to see Mr. Netanyahu.
Those are hot commodities. If you come across an extra one, let me know, said Rep. Ted Yoho, Florida Republican.
He said he is bringing a constituent to the speech, but saw a high enough demand that he asked colleagues who arent attending if he could get one of their unused tickets. He wasnt able to find any extras.
World leaders speeches to joint sessions of Congress dont always draw such interest. Indeed, often the seats on the House floor have to be filled by pages or other staffers. But Mr. Netanyahus speech is likely to be well-attended, the public boycotts notwithstanding.
The public viewing galleries are likely to be just as packed.
Mr. Walberg is bringing the outgoing Republican party chairman of Michigan as his guest to the speech. He said he gave a ticket to an overflow room to a Jewish doctor who is a friend of his.
He too asked Democratic colleagues if he could have extra tickets, but theyd already given them away.
If I could get more tickets I would get them, he said. Theyve all given them out.

I’m hoping there will be some Holocaust survivors there.
There is some irony here that big time Jewish Dem donors want to see Bibi. I would love to know how many Dem guests are Jews.
People want to see and hear a real leader who loves his country.
Pray America is waking
According to Boehner’s office, there are 10 times as many requests for tickets to Netanyahu’s speech than there are seats available.
You can bet that the Rats are giving plenty of tickets including galery tickets to their comrades in Code Pink.
This is going to backfire against the left.
Imagine Communists and Democrats in 1939 heckling Churchill on a visit, while the Communists were still allied with their socialist pals the Nazis.
Netanyahu’s popularity is exposing the democrats for the Pack-Of-Fools they really are.
Benjamin Netanyahu - leader of the free world (and not Bammyboy)!
Don’t wait for the libs to “grant” you their tickets.
Have guest on standby and fill the empty seats at the Speaker’s direction.
The heck with the galleries - sell ticket to the absent democrat seats on the floor.
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.
Let me redouble the warning that this must have the tightest security possible. Democrats are more than willing to bring in not just agitators, but violent agitators, to disrupt this speech in any way they can.
And individual insane people, maybe provoked by agitators, would do anything to physically attack Netanyahu. So every aspect of his trip, from the planes used, the motorcades, the hotel, etc. must be under the microscope.
Historically, presidential assassins have either been leftists, anarchists, or insane people, and Netanyahu in Washington right now is perhaps the most attractive target so far in this century.
That must really enrage obama
The regime is terrified by what he will say because, it’s not only, his ‘State of Israel Address’ to the joint session of Congress , it’s the ‘State of the World Address’.
I ,sincerely, hope that Bibi doesn’t feel obligated to offer a copy of his speech to the Regime prior to his address because right now they are tearing their hair out trying to figure out how do a pre-buttal.
Kerry is on the news warning that anything “leaked” to the press about the negotiations would be detrimental. He is trying to shut Bibi up. Just amazing.
Along with goading us into another Mid-East war, I hope Netanyahu lectures congress on how to implement immigration policy. That is something all his fans in the Republican party need lessons on.
Dem boycotters no doubt gave their tickets to Code Pink or some pro-Palestinian group (like low level DNC members or media).
Obama Inc is really really not liking the attention Bibi is getting.
Would be funny if it weren’t so scary.
Well .. the DemocRATS will find a way to get Code Pink in the door .. splattered with red ink to look like blood.
When are the repubs going to challenge this juvenile DemocRAT behavior ..??
