When given the chance, a convicted murderer had straightforward explanation for killing his cellmate in October at the Saginaw Correctional Facility.
"The reason I killed him was because he was a child molester," Steven D. Sandison said Monday, Feb. 23, in Saginaw County Circuit Court.
Speaking during his plea hearing before Chief Circuit Judge Fred L. Borchard, the 51-year-old Sandison was polite, addressing the judge as "sir," in explaining why he killed Theodore Dyer on Oct. 29 at the prison in Freeland.
At Borchard's request, Sandison first answered questions from his attorney, James Gust, to establish a "factual basis" for why he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. After answering "Yes" to several of Gust's questions, Sandison then provided his explanation.
"But," Gust then asked, "you did, in fact, kill him?"
"Oh, sure," Sandison said. "Oh, sure, of course."

does anyone ever watch “lockup”, on (i hate to say it), msnbc. these guys are criminal losers but they have this uppity attitude that they’re better than child killers and molesters. if they have so much scrupples, maybe that should hace not committed their crimes in the first place.

There is a definite hierarchy within the prison system. Cop/ serial killers at the top and child molesters at the bottom (just below rapists).
Well, he was already serving one life sentence for murder . . .
The killer is gonna have a LONGER SENTENCE in the lake of fire! ... :-) ...
Michigan has no death penalty, and the guy’s already doing life without parole, so he had nothing to stop him from meting out his own justice.

He laughs and says Oh yeah, I’m guilty and then describes why and how.
That there is no death penalty should please the Progressives. Now the Progressive lawyers will crawl out of the sewers and sue the state on behalf of the pervert next of kin. A good example of the law of unintended consequences ... the guy can kill everyday and there is nothing the state can do about it.
Maybe they commit crimes to be sent to prison so they can kill child molesters.
