Prior to his speech at CPAC Thursday afternoon, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) didnt mince words. He bluntly told reporters how nervous he is about the presidents final 20 months in office.
The next 20 months are going to be very dangerous, he said. They are going to be dangerous at home. President Obama has reacted to this last election in a way thats unprecedented. You know, prior presidents have been repudiated [and] theyve reacted with contrition. [P]resident Obama, instead, reacted with anger and defiance.
I believe the next 20 months we are going to see a degree of lawlessness that will exceed anything weve seen in the previous six years, he continued. I think were going to see executive order after executive order. I think were going to see the abuse of regulations in a way that crushes small businesses, destroys jobs. I think we are going to see the continued weaponization of the IRS in the federal government, and it is going to be dangerous.
He expressed hope, however, that Congressional Republicans will fulfill their constitutional duties and, as he put it, rein in that abuse of power and provide meaningful oversight. But unfortunately, he said, there are other concerns to be worried about as well.
And Ill tell you as dangerous as its going to be at home, its going to be even more dangerous aboard, he emphasized. Every bad actor on the face of the globe, from Putin to Khomeini in Iran to ISIS, has every incentive possible to do as much damage as they can in [the next] 20 months."
Why?
Because, he argued, "the tyrants of the world believe there is no credible threat or deterrent from this president.
Not to mention he is interested in brokering a peace treaty between Israel and the Palestinians. And he is buddies with Pope Francis who some say is the False Prophet who will introduce the Beast to the world.

Breto is not wrong about mistrusting any politician. We have a habit here of listening to a statement or two and some one brings out this banner.
Remember When Chris Cristy was a favorite here because of a couple bullying events, but then someone actually listened to some of the other things he was saying.
If voting made any difference they wouldn't let us do it."

It all fits...Greece is part of the old Roman empire....we shall see
Incredible. You're telling one of the few plain talkers about the bamster, one of the few that is trying to stop him to shut up?
Sometimes FR amazes me.
“at some point theres going to be a President Rodriguez, or theres going to be a President Chin.”
Or more likely a President Cruz, Rubio or Jindal, barry...
Ted Cruz knows, but also that there is no upside in directly saying it, that the worst tyrant of the world is "this president".
Yeah, being a viable political candidate, he couldn’t go further and state that the main threat to our nation is directly from this president,
not just from our enemies that perceive no credible threat of deterrence.
“You have a serious problem.”
Thank you for your thoughtful analysis of ... well... me
Now do you have a rebuttal to anything I said?
The "conservative" sound-bite de jour. In fact, de tous les jours. Both Houses of Congress, 31 statehouses, and still no leadership from the right. Just sound.
Case in point, the Affirmative Action Nincompoop up to replace Holder: nowhere near enough hard questions to her. She's Black, she's a woman, she's Obama's girl, hands off?
Republican Senators, vote this idiot down or STFU.
This exactly how weak leaders stumble us into war. There is nothing that the gay jihadist ... like Bill Clinton ... would rather be than a wartime President. Bad leaders will always choose war .... the wrong war .... as a method to get their people behind them.
........Obama instead, reacted with anger and defiance.........
As I said to the other poster specifically Cruz shouldn't STFU, perhaps you should.
Another one.
I will support Cruz with my vote if it comes to that, but if he cannot get his "fellow Republicans" in the Senate to vote with him to reject Lynch, among other issues, what's the point? Left Wing Lynch as AG, with the Left Wing DOJ and the Left Wing Federal Judiciary as her tools, is precisely the wrong person to trust with safeguarding the Constitution.
OK, then Cruz agrees with us on that. Big Whoop. The real question this week is, "Will Lefty Lynch, with her big Affirmative Action Chip-on-the-Shoulder be on AF 1 heading toward the next Ferguson ... with Reggie Love and Al Sharpton?"
So far, this is like 20 years of talk radio telling "conservatives" how bad things are with no discernible effect on voting for a coherent Program, no resulting Plan, and no emergence of effective Leadership.
Cruz speaks the truth.
I think people are fed up with the others (Obama & the Rinos etc) in DC, and it spills over to everyone, even the good guys.
Just as dangerous domestically. The illegal immigration project is going ahead full speed. The court is being defied and Obama is transferring money from other agencies to get it all paid for regardless of what Congress does with DHS funding. He can appropriate new money all he wants up to the debt limit and maybe beyond that. He is ruling without Congress altogether now. He is still playing games with Congress because Congress is still inclined to go along with whatever he decrees or at least will not oppose him. We have into the Venezuela phase now heading for the Cuban phase.
