WASHINGTONThe Senate Judiciary Committee voted Thursday to move Loretta Lynch, President Barack Obama s nominee for attorney general, to the Senate floor for a final confirmation vote.
The committee approved the nomination of Ms. Lynch, currently Brooklyns U.S. Attorney, by a vote of 12 to 8. Republican Sens. Jeff Flake of Arizona, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Orrin Hatch of Utah joined all of the committees Democrats in voting yes.
Ms. Lynch has so far generated little animosity from Republican senators, even those who ended up voting against her. Many praised her work as a prosecutor and some said they were glad that Attorney General Eric Holder , a frequent target of GOP criticism, would be replaced. Mr. Holder is staying on the job until Ms. Lynch is confirmed.
But during Ms. Lynchs confirmation hearing late last month, she drew criticism from most of the committee Republicans for saying she agreed with a Justice Department memo that said Mr. Obamas plan to grant a reprieve to millions of undocumented immigrants was legal. Nor did Ms. Lynch forcefully disavow any of Mr. Holders policiesthough she did repeatedly say she would be independent from the president. And she promised to try to improve the relationship between the Justice Department and Congress.

The GOP is so afraid of Obama it can’t say NO to a radical female Attorney General nominee.
Gutless wonders. I’m happy I didn’t bother to vote last year.
The GOP isn’t blocking the Obama agenda - not by a mile.
You knew they would. This should not come as a surprise. You should not be surprised either when 99% of the Republican Senators vote to confirm her.
I don’t believe it, either. Like when both Ohio senators were R [Voinovich/DeWine] and one would vote Y and the other N and it made me want to scream! I think you guys are right, they have their capital hill club, they don’t care about anything but appearing concerned, lining their pockets and retiring wealthy, on our bucks, while we do without.
LOL: Typical beginning of a Joke...
Two Mormons and a fag walk into a bar...
They are not afraid, they are COMPLICIT.
So, it looks like they were the necessary votes?
Question that has to be asked of Ms. Lynch: Would you prosecute a member of the current administration if there was probable cause?

Me too. Eff them appeasers who tell us that. Been there done that. Not again. EVER.
I am guessing that state is inundated with leech entitlement ‘citizens’.
Bing bing bing, we have a winner. Too bad the celebration will not be fun for those that loved this country and what it stood for. Now we are left with a love for “the myth” of a time when people banded together in an experiment of self government.
“The people of SC knew who this was, and those idiots still put him back in the Senate. We warned them. They didnt care.”
Low information Republican voters.
As Cruz has pointed out, if Congress approves someone who has refused to say there are any limits to presidential power, they given congressional approval to and are complicit in the imperial presidency. They have just shot themselves.
I hereby nominate Jeff Flake of Arizona, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Orrin Hatch of Utah as dis-honorary democrats.
These jerks need to go!
“Don’t count your Hatches before they chicken.”
(shamelessly stolen from a post in a previous thread).
If I understand correctly, Holder remains Attorney General until a replacement is confirmed. Is that correct? If so, then either way it’s no injury to Obama. He likes Holder.
We have no representation. Leadership of ours is just democrats with R’s in front of them.
Actually, I'm represented better than most.
Chuck Grassley, chairman of the Judiciary Committee, is a fairly-solid conservative. Joni Ernst is, too (so far).
Neither one is Cruz or Lee but, it's good to be rid of Tom "Dung Heap" Harkin. {SPIT}
I keep wondering how different it would be if the Senate was still elected by the state legislatures (as it should be).
Now watch them vote against her and then tout that.
