(CNSNews.com) Reverend Franklin Graham said he did not know whether President Barack Obama dislikes America, as Americas Mayor Rudy Giuliani stated last week, but Graham said it is true that Obama defends Islam and chastises Christians, denies the religious freedoms of those who oppose abortion and gay marriage, and added that our nation is morally crumbling within and that we have turned our back on God.
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani has taken a lot of heat from the media for his remark that he's not sure if President Obama really loves America, said Rev. Graham in a Feb. 24 Facebook post.
I don't know if that's true or not, but I do know that the president defends Islam and chastises Christians, rebukes our allies and befriends our enemies, and fully supports gay marriages and abortion but denies the religious freedoms of those who don't agree, said the reverend, who oversees the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
Our nation is ridiculed abroad and morally crumbling within, he said. We are in trouble. We have turned our back on God.
At a private dinner gathering on Feb. 18 at the 21 Club in New York City, Giuliani, a Republican, said I do not believe, and I know this is a horrible thing to say, but I do not believe that the president loves America.

“morally crumbling within
I would have to say that I agree to some point with this. All you have to do is look around and it is everywhere. Now and then I will see someone that gives me hope that all is not lost. But that is getting more rare.
God never stopped reaching out. People began to snub God more and more.
One of the more difficult obstacles to God is, ironically enough, religion. It can easily construct a false front where the objective becomes to please people.
Sorry, forget to mention this is an excerpt. More at the site: http://cnsnews.com/news/article/michael-w-chapman/rev-graham-america-morally-crumbling-within-we-have-turned-our-back
” We Have Turned Our Back on God’”
Too many have, most haven’t.
BO actions and associations speaks for themselves. He don’t need to say a thing.
I agree... debauchery, death and decay seem to be everywhere with true beauty hard to find. It is always darkest before the dawn. We must keep our eyes on Christ.
We can’t force our neighbor to choose anything. But we can do better at sharing the gospel. I have no patience for a gospel that puts people on pedestals. I knew that game was a lose well before I became a believer in Christ. I suspect a lot of other people are now in the shoes that I was in. When a “religious” country falls, it obscures God even worse than one that was frankly unbelieving all the while, because this one has the form but not the power.
I am reminded of the adage:
I wish I could agree, but I can't. We have reached the tipping point. Perhaps most honor God with their mouths, but not in their hearts.
The Lord is merciful and will preserve a remnant, but our nation and this world is in for a hiding from the Almighty that will be a combination of Krakatoa, the Civil War, the Depression and the Black Death rolled into one. Read Revelation and you'll see it all.
The heart of the issue isn’t the “morally crumbling” part, it’s the “turning backs on God” part. Godliness will automatically produce the right moral by-product. But faithless self-effort is an exercise in futility producing nothing but more self-righteousness and decay.
The malaise in America, as Mr. Graham says, is a spiritual malaise. The American People, the owners of America, the Constitution, and their own freedom, have turned from the God who gave them these things and instead looked to man as their savior. The next “savior-politician” is their answer.
Yes, we need God through Jesus Christ by his grace and mercy to sweep across our land in these last days and bring many to himself which is the true answer for personal salvation and America’s hope to remain free.
Worse things have happened to countries. E.g. the Bolshevik Revolution.
But in all these cases of losing the blessings of God, the people invited the problem.
We certainly seem to be living in a "post-Christian last days" America. And the world, as well.
2 Timothy 3 New International Version (NIV)
3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
6 They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 7 always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. 9 But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.
PREACH IT, brother Graham!!
We need high-profile voices of sanity like yours!
It won’t budge the Left, but it may have an effect on “independents”, especially in flyover country.

savior-talk
and probably more, a gaggle of disappointing gods
The heroes in this picture will be the evangelists.
Like the old song goes, everybody has a hungry heart.
But it’s eating the wrong food in so many cases.
That’s needed. Now will the people who need it allow it.
