Fellow Republicans, you are sadly mistaken if you believe that the results of the November 2014 elections are a sign from the American people that the coast is clear to continue operating as you have in the past. You should not read into the results as predictive of the 2016 presidential elections. If you want to avoid a very short-lived honeymoon at the top you will have to govern in accordance with the realities that exist in America today. One of those realities is that the prohibition of gay marriage is a form of discrimination that our court system is finally getting around to correcting. The unquestioned fact is that the government provides benefits to married couples, and because gays cannot marry they cannot avail themselves of those benefits - that is discrimination on its face. This message is not about insisting that you accept homosexuality in your personal life; that would be un-American. My case is that we welcome gays into the legal institution of marriage because to continue to fight against it is contrary to spirit of our Constitution.

Maybe my memory is fading, but I don’t remember the media hammering on the black civil rights issue in the same way that they are hammering on gay marriage. I really think that an anti-Christian spirit gives a lot of energy to the gay marriage issue that it wouldn’t otherwise have.
Exactly right. This is not a love campaign for gays, it’s a hate campaign against Christians.
Queer Marriage = Secular Sodomy!!! (legalized by judges with questionable judgement through the foul force of government)
They want to “punk the Man”
The Gay side brings the question of rationality into the debate with the term homophobia...
By definition a phobia is not fear.. it an irrational fear
conversely a fetish is a irrational desire
so is even homosexual rational or irrational?...
heterosexually desire is a biological necessity else no reproduction..so is inherently rational...
I have no problem with people behaving in an irrational manner I don't see how they can compel me and the law to also be irrationally..
Yeah, why not just publish the piece in Mother Jones?
You are correct. Also the advent of 24 hour instant unlimited media in discrete sound clips and blurbs.

He may be a Republican, but he ain’t no republican.
Because those who are trying to destroy marriage are destroying the foundations of the republic.
Whoever you are, Christian Caballero, I’m not interested in having you preach to me. The fact that you’re writing at HuffPo speaks volumes. Go away.
I agree. A sad state of affairs.
It’s this gay Caballero. No surprise to see that he once worked for Jeb Bush:
“Mr. Caballero is a proud alum of Americas preeminent leadership program, the United States Presidential White House Fellowship. “
“During his fellowship, Mr. Caballero chaired a taskforce charged with the federal response to the E-coli outbreak in spinach”
“Prior to joining the Department of Juvenile Justice, he served as deputy director of cabinet affairs to Florida Governor Jeb Bush.”

I was driving behind a Nissan Xterra the other day and it had a bumper sticker that said “Republican for 0bama.” That’s like being a Jew for Hitler.
He’s made one thing clear. He doesn’t believe in The Bible.
And yet, this is the campaign the homos and their enablers are engaged in...at school, in church, in the media, film, television, print media, and on and on...
The grandmother florist in Washington state begs to differ Mr. Caballero...the lavender mafia is intent on DESTROYING this woman and her livelihood via the purported "legal system" because she will NOT ACCEPT HOMOSEXUALITY IN HER PERSONAL LIFE!
Bugger off you lavender swish.

There are far more than 2% of the media staffers who are ghey.
You hear more homofascist propaganda in the media because “don’t ask, don’t tell” was only bad policy in the military. Homosexuals in the news business don’t step out of the closet to tell viewers/readers just WHY homosexualist issues are such a TOP priority today.
We heard there was ‘no gay agenda’ and as soon as prohibitions against same sex sodomy were struck down by the activist court the prohibitions against same sex marriage and adoption were on the block.
We hear how it is all about the actions of consenting adults in private. Tell that to a photographer who is forced to take a job photographing their ceremony. Tell that to the parents who are prohibited from counseling their minor children who are expressing sexual confusion and seeking guidance (they are assumed to be ‘gay’, you cannot counsel them otherwise in California until they are 18). Tell that to the grade school students who are instructed in 50 shades of sexuality (cisgender heterosexuals, polyamorists, pansexuals, asexuals, transexuals, homosexuals, bisexuals, etc.).
The Left says, “but they are in LOVE”. In Texas, the law is being challenged in the courts by two dykes who did not marry here but are seeking a Texas divorce. So much for ‘love’.
So much for honest debate.
