zero and his administration are the real JV team.
Cavuto would be watchable - if he could keep his mouth shut. He always interupts and talks over people!
Complete sidebar, but he’s one of only four actors to appear in all 271 episodes.
How Ratzenberger and Rowe have managed to avoid each other is a mystery.
I saw Ratzenberger on the news the other day about the fact that he was giving money to schools to teach basic shop classes.
Imagine a show with John Ratzenberger, Mike Rowe, and Larry the Cable Guy traveling around the country doing different jobs. Kind of like Top Gear for American jobs.
i knew it would be Cliffy!
“The actor mocked, “It’s not like, ‘he’s got an MBA from Harvard. He’ll know what to do!’”
I think this was more of a zing at Bush. I think Ratzenberger is a hollywood liberal (I could be wrong). After Cheers had its final episode, he remarked something along the lines of how people needed the tv show Cheers in order to help them cope with the Reagan-Bush years.
The William Buckley quote is really applicable here: “I’d rather be governed by the first 2,000 names in the Boston telephone directory than by the 2,000 members of the Harvard faculty.”
I can’t think of any scenario when my first thought would be “where can I find the nearest Ivy Leaguer”. Unless maybe I was running low on merlot or brie...
Cliff’s “Buffalo Theory” is still one of my favorite Cheers moments...
“Well ya see, Norm, it’s like this... A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.”
“In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first.”
In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That’s why you always feel smarter after a few beers.”
Love Ratzenberger. He’s mostly doing Christian movies now, some of which are quite affecting. I appreciate his candor.
Liberal Poison Ivy Leaguers don’t have a particularly good record of governance.
We’ve been on a Yale - Harvard merry-go-round since 1988. Time to try something else.
“You know Ivy Leaguers and I know Ivy Leaguers. And I tell you, those are not the people whose houses you rush to after an earthquake.”
I wrote many prepper articles on another website and a lady wrote in saying she would like to live next door to me. Hopefully, she read all those articles so she wouldn’t have to live next door, she would have the info. herself and save herself. That was the purpose of those articles.
I have a lot of education but that didn’t mean zip when putting together a survival plan and carrying it out. Common sense and what you need to stay alive is not in a university program.
We have many excellent preppers on this website and, to my knowledge, no one has brought up whether they finished grade school or any other school. :o)
Kelsey Grammer (Fraiser Crane) is also conservative.
Oh, I don’t know. There’s one Ivy Leaguer I’d want on my side in SHTF situation: Ted Cruz. Trey Gowdy, too. George Bush went to Princeton as well, didn’t he?
