The long take of "Birdman" has stretched all the way to the Academy Awards, where the jazzy, surreal comedy about an actor fleeing his superhero past took Hollywood's top honor in a ceremony punctuated by passionate pleas for equality.

Looks like a bizarre flick. How fitting it would win “the honors”.
No thanks. Typical Hollywierd nonsense, but hey they made sure that the movie that earned more than the rest of the nominees combined didn’t get anything.
Pray America is waking
Why was Clint Eastwood taken off the list
and replaced by Oprah?
Obama: Hey guys...I have a few talking points I’d like you to cover during the Oscars...SURE, you’ll be invited to the next White House party!
I wonder how many of these phonies offered up their money in the name of “equality”?
I had only heard of two of those movies.
Looks like the Oscars have finally completed their descent into leftist irrelevancy
LOOK up in the sky its a bird and watch out you may get some bird dew on watching this trash!
I am not surprised that AS only won one award.
With the criminal trial going on in TX right now, the Oscar voters most likely did not want to influnced the jury in the Chris Kyle and friend double murders case.
Voting for The Imitation Game would have made the gays happy, but slighted blacks. Voting for Selma would have made the blacks happy, but slighted the gays. Voting for American Sniper would have infuriated the liberals.
That left only Boyhood and Birdman standing.
Another Oscars has come and gone.
Once again I looked through the nominations and saw a couple of movies that I’d seen.
But once again none of the few movies that I’d seen won anything.
Went out to see “Seventh Son” yesterday afternoon and thought it was a good popcorn cruncher.
Also beyond politics, in regards to “American Sniper”, not influnce the jury in the criminal trial down in TX going on right now.
So “Birdman” was the safe bet.
You think the intent was to protect the accused from “bad press”?
We saw The Grand Budapest Hotel. It was pretty well done and entertaining. The others we didn’t see and likely won’t. Hollywood is far too impressed with itself.
The only thing I watched yesterday was the Daytona 500 and FNS. What a great race...and my guy win!
Politics... they don’t want a conservative at the Oscars...(I met Oprah in Hartford in 2000 at a restaurant. What a jerk...she was there with her ‘BFF’)
It’s the only Best Picture nominee that I actually want to see (already saw “American Sniper”). Michael Keaton is such a great actor and really funny.
I heard on Bill Cunningham that Neil Patrick Harris was in a diaper. Wow, I didn’t need to see that photo.
Actually never heard of it until the academy awards nominations came out. Have no plans to see it and/or spend money on it.
