Phyllis Schlafly has long argued that the American conservative movements purpose is to influence, not echo, the Republican Party.
And still going strong at age 90, Mrs. Schlafly wants to influence the GOP anew by warning against letting the partys kingmakers the Wall Street elite and political consultant class coronate former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush as the presidential nominee in 2016.

God bless Phyllis Schlafly, at 90 she’s still speaking out for conservatives.
Bush, Dole, Bush, McCain, Romney.
Sounds like it’s time for another Bush. The party establishment/Chamber of Corruption demand it.
Thank you, Mrs. Schafly! No more Bushes. Or Clintons. Or Cuomos. Or Kennedys for that matter. Enough with the damn dynasties!
The Cheap Labor Express has paid for an amnesty candidate and the RNC will deliver.
Clearly we need a dynasty full of right-wing conservatives.
This is why individual voters ONLY should be allowed to contribute money to candidates for whom those individual voters may vote.
We could stop the corrupting influence of mega-donors and get back to one-man-one-vote which is what made America a free nation.
God Bless Mrs. Schlafly; still going strong for conservative causes for many years.
I sure agree with that one.
The GOPe royally screwed up in 2008 with McCain.
The GOPe royally screwed up in 2012 with Romney.
Dirksen was right! Time to dump the GOPe and have a candidate that has what to takes to beat the RATS.
Bush v. Clinton in 2016? Tweedle GOPe and Tweedle Dumb. Unfortunately, the RATS and RINOS *are* that pernicious.
What about that good old-fashioned verb, crown?
(Or am I asking too much of today's headline writers?)
>> Bush v. Clinton in 2016? <<
Sure. And while we’re at it, we may as well get ready for George P. Bush vs. Chelsea Clinton-Mezvinsky in 2028!
She been fighting the Establishment Republicans since the ‘70s, when the GOP-e supported stamping feminism into the Constitution (ERA). At 90, she fighting just as strongly.
I’ve been wondering about that since Rush started using it a couple of campaigns ago.
That is a fantastic idea. Never heard that before!
I meant mostly the idea that there has to be a declared candidate first before money can be donated.
The first debate will be in August. Terrible if it is all decided by then.
Rush is a great man. But his frequent linguistic faux-pas probably make his hero, the late Bill Buckley, turn over in the grave.
