Jane Fonda said she hoped for an open dialogue with veterans after about 50 former military members and supporters protested the actresss appearance Friday evening at the Weinberg Center for the Arts.
Whenever possible I try to sit down with vets and talk with them, because I understand and it makes me sad, Fonda told a relatively full theater, responding to a submitted question. It hurts me and it will to my grave that I made a huge, huge mistake that made a lot of people think I was against the soldiers.
In 1972 Fonda visited Hanoi, North Vietnam, where she criticized attacks on the dike system along the Red River. A U.S. investigation later revealed the publicity of these bombings as propaganda. Fondas statements and a photograph of her sitting on a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft battery outraged many Americans and veterans, leading many to call her Hanoi Jane and a traitor.

The American public doesn’t really care. By attending her movies, buying her exercise tapes and books they’ve made her richer. Treason needs to be punished not ignored.

She starts groveling that she’s sorry every time she has a book or movie coming out, so I’m sure that’s the case yet again. She’s getting publicity on the backs of our dead and severely injured heroes.
I have no sympathy for this multi-millionaire sleazebag at all.

Too little, too late Jane. And does anyone actually think this is sincere? She's been apologizing for this since 1988.
"It was the most horrible thing I could possibly have done. It was just thoughtless."
What else can she say?

"Dear (Commie) Jane,
...When you sat on that (Communist) gun-mount and gave the POW's
note to his captors. You knowingly committed Treason, you may (to
the ppl. back home) argue you didn't commit treason (
"It was just a
selfie/photo-op")..
But, It was treason against the ppl. and the
United States of America..Same w/ the likes scumbucket 0'$it.
IMHO..the reason RMN, didn't charge you et. al. with TREASON, it was an Election
Year..simple as that. Your Communist/Marxist fiends, may still cheer yo on ..But you
made your bed of shiny new anchor chain, now sleep for eternity in them.

Why is it that the leftists not only take the wrong side to almost every issue, they are determined to own the wrong side?
Abortion, Anti-war, free speech, 2nd amendment, women’s rights in Islam, religious freedom, and on and on.
They are not just against it, they take ownership the wrong side on just about everything.
It’s not only a difference of opinion, it is a demanding you join or shut up.
Is critical thinking dead?

When you peel down the onion of words surrounding her apologies and look at the contemporary events surrounding the apologies you discover the apologies are driven by her financial difficulties.
Her first series of apologies were issued when her new series of exercise tapes bombed.
Her second series came out after she failed to have a meaningful movie role in decades.
And now, this third (or is it the fourth?) apology series.
Sorry you over age sex kitten with less intelligence than a new born kitten how America views its vets and soldiers has changed and now the popular villains are the anti-war activists that “support the troops” whenever they political futures are at risk. How does it feel to be on the other side of the coin?

Running a stop sign from being inattentive is a mistake. Making an error in balancing your checkbook is a mistake. Burning the pot roast is a mistake.
Traveling across the world to enter a country our nation was at war with and providing them hard propoganda that had a direct negative impact on our troop morale and support from Americans was no mistake. It was a deliberate, traiterous act and the more Jane Fonda attempts to cover it up by characterizing it as a mistake, the more glaring her vile actions are.

Jane, if you believe you made a big mistake, tell today’s youth what a mistake they are making.
You can’t change the past, but if you believe in this nation, stop the idiots from voting for democrats.
