Joe Scarborough says he doesn't want to be "torn to shreds online" for analogizing the threat of radical Christianity to that of radical Islam. In that case, the solution is simple: Scarborough should stop analogizing the threat of radical Christianity to that of radical Islam.
On today's Morning Joe, Scarborough twice suggested such parallels, analogizing radical Islamists to "ultrafundamentalist Christians who believe every single word of the Bible has to be interpreted in the exact ways which could also lead to some violence." A bit later, Scarborough circled back, saying "it doesn't matter what faith you're in," that a literal reading of scripture attracts the outcasts of society, for better or "for much worse."

Seems like everyday we promote Joe Scarborough and MSNBC. Why is that? Who cares what morning Joe and his 3 dozen viewers think?
If there is such a thing as ultrafundamentalist Christianity, the first denominations to come to my mind would be the Amish and the Mennonites—extremely violence-prone sects (yeah, right!).
If my aunt had balls, she COULD be my uncle.
How about we deal with the current realities, instead of what could be, Scarborough.

The Morning Joe hosts are represented by William Morris Endeavor boss Ari Emanuel.

Ari Emanuel is not pleased with Brian Williams. After sitting down for an interview for Rock Center alongside his brothers Rahm, the mayor of Chicago, and Ezekiel, a bioethicist Ari took issue with Williams’ style of of questioning. So much so, that Ari sent a legal letter to NBC.
....Yet it was found out in the last week or two that 47 of the 50 states the citizens are CONSERVATIVE............Hmmmmmm.
This historian would correct the record that Mr. Obama tried to damage a few weeks ago.

He's exactly right! And also, winged monkeys COULD fly out of my ass...
Another thing, Biggirl, when, not if, the muslims attack us here in the USA in force, I predict it will be the Christians that jump in harm’s way to respond first. Certainly won’t be the liberal news media people.
I think he means “the Amish.” Them people is always killin’ fokes!
Is Joe suggesting that Christ instructed Christians to decapitate non-Christians? To rape children? To crucify children?
NO!!!!!!!!!!
Jesus COMMANDS us to LOVE our neighbor.
That remote possibility is of much greater concern to the leftists like Scarborough than the reality of real and immediately violent Islam.
The Bible doesn’t call out the killing of non-Christians. Christian heritage is one of being repressed and scorned by society without violence.
Yeah. He didn’t mention that “Ultrafundamentalist Atheists” could also turn to violence.
What is an ultrafundamentalist Christian, and how many are there in the whole US?
As a Christian who believes in the fundamental right of self-defense, this is sickening to me.
I’d like to see SOMEONE ask these idiots - “WHEN??”, WHEN have Christians behaved violently toward others because they weren’t Christians???
They would probably cite the Koresh gang, who WEREN’T Christians and were NOT violent..
They NEVER EVER cite anything but the Crusades and various un-named instances that “happen ALL the time!”...
Killing adult male Muslims is preemptive self-defense.
And to love our enemies, to forgive them, to return good for evil. But He also said to sell your cloak and buy a sword. We are not commanded to submit to being enslaved or murdered.
And monkeys COULD fly out of my butt.
