In the midst of controversy over the Israeli prime minister's plans to address Congress next month, a researcher has won the release of a decades-old Defense Department report detailing the U.S. government's extensive help to Israel in that nation's development of a nuclear bomb.
"I am struck by the degree of cooperation on specialized war making devices between Israel and the US," said Roger Mattson, a former memer of the Atomic Energy Commission technical staff.
The 1987 report, "Critical Technology Assessment in Israel and NATO Nations," compares the key Israeli facilities developing nuclear weapons to Los Alamos and Oak Ridge National Laboratories, the principal U.S. laboratories that developed the bomb for the United States.
The tightly held report notes that the Israelis are "developing the kind of codes which will enable them to make hydrogen bombs. That is, codes which detail fission and fusion processes on a microscopic and macroscopic level."

Oh, should also mention - the Soviets and Chinese disagreed with you on that. They are known to have deployed nuclear land mines in the Sino-Soviet border wars.
anti-proliferation legislation was intended to prevent nations/groups from getting a working device. Therefore, admitting that Israel has an active R&D program would seem to me to be enough, especially since Israel is a non-signatory to international anti-proliferation agreements.
Israel has never signed the NPT. What other treaty are they supposed to have signed?
Also, this report is far less ‘conclusive’ than Robert Gates’ admission that Israel had nukes back in his ‘06 confirmation hearings.
I don't know but as a non-signer, Israel comes under certain non-proliferation legislation.
I doubt this is going to be a significant event at this point. Look at all the aid we gave Pakistan, who is a known nuclear power and who isn’t an NPT signatory.
I agree with that from an aid standpoint but it strikes me as very significant as it pertains to hussein's ability to assist the Iranian nuclear program. If the Israelis can have it why shouldn't the Iranians?
Can you post sources for a few of these defense plans? I know most nations have them. Mostly destroying infrastructure to damper supplies, logistics, communications, etc. The only one that Israel is rumored to have is the Sampson option.
You are well read my friend, most people do not know about what you post. A brilliant engineer gnome of mine has probably read the same books from the 80's ( they are somewhat rare) that detail the Israeli "programs" and who they worked with, and what they probably "have". Yes, you outline what possibly will happen if they are over-run by their enemies. Pray for Israel....
This is just insulting:
The tightly held report:

Why is this not major news? Besides this website, I only see Iranian, Russian and anti-war sites talking about this issue. Did this even happen?
NO ally of the American people should trust
Obola the Undocumented First Moslem by FRAUD.
Not Cool—Obama’s anti-semitism is showing. This could have profound impact on the US and the world.
This is low...
I’m pretty stunned actually.
Anyone who has not seen Obama’s anti-Semitism until now is either blind or in denial.
“I want to hear someone ask Obama if he thinks Iran could have them for decades without use at a press conference.”
A valid response is that Pakistan has had them for over a decade without using them.
Israel: Please be advised, many of the American people are on your side. Some Americans are stupid and resentful, some American Jewish people vote against their own interests and yours because of their need for acceptance and because of the erroneous myth that Democrats are compassionate, Democrats are not compassionate, they have lost their way and only wish to control.
This may be the worst foreign-relations-related evil perpetrated by Obama to date
