Ruth Bader Ginsburg says she was drunk when she fell asleep at the State of the Union

Ruth Bader Ginsburg says she wasn't '100 percent sober' when she nodded off during President Barack Obama's State of the Union address last month.

The 81-year-old Supreme Court Justice blamed her colleague Anthony Kennedy for poorly timed catnap, telling attendees of a Smithsonian Associates event in Washington, D.C. that he brought a 'very fine California wine' to dinner that was too good not to indulge in.

The left is trying to shame her into resigning so as to ensure that Obama selects the replacement, not the next President.

Yep. And Ginsburg has replied that she has no intentions of doing so.

With any luck, we'll have a Republican president and congress replace her in the coming years, giving us a roughly 50/50 chance of adding another conservative to the bench.

She didn’t admit this under tough questioning. She thinks she’s being cute.
“Granny had a little too much medicine.”
It’s a stupid thing for a Supreme Court Justice to say. If she speaks stupidly, does she reason stupidly?
For crying out loud.
Can we get some adults in Washington, D.C..? Please?

I’m glad she just falls asleep when she drinks. I don’t really want to think of her getting flirty (poking my mind’s eye out).

Typical liberal, it isn’t her fault, it is Kennedy’s for bringing the wine.

So long as the republicants hold the Senate, Ruthie need not weigh stay or go because if she goes the republicants can block a nominee long enough to get a Republicant president to make a different nomination. Oh wait ... republicants!

I’d probably be drunk all the time if I were married to Bill Clinton.

Don’t do an image search for “Ruth Bader Ginsburg funny” then. Just don’t.

Hmm..we could use this to our advantage. All we need is for Scalia to attach some Marionette strings, and for Clarence Thomas to take a few ventriloquism lessons...

That’s okay. Her dissents often look like she was drunk too.

I'm inclined to give her a break. I know Obama’s speeches drive me to drinking.

So she was three sheets to the wind?
Wonderful, so out of all of her bench declarations, how many were via the “too drunk to care” method of life?

She wouldn’t be the first SCJ to be impeached. Samuel Chase was impeached by way of the Jefferson administration because of his “harsh” sentences for corrupt Democratic-Republicans under Adams and Jefferson. He was acquitted because it was determined that he couldn’t be impeached for his political beliefs.

As Mark Levin has said, there have been many outright crazy justices on the court over the years.

This is one reason why he thinks there should be term limits for supreme court judges.
